The "nation" of Somalia is essentially an anarchy. Is this what you anarchists want for our nation? Why wouldn't your way lead to this? How is it different?

Somalia is chaos, not political anarchy. It is groups competing for power, not one group making decisions via direct democracy or consensus. Anarchy in anti-hierarchical. Somalia is all about who comes out on top. They are opposites.
Before you start throwing words around and turning them into accusations, learn what those words mean.
All true, but we should note that Occupy is hierarchal in structure.
The NYCGA is the mother base. It controls this website, donations, all major Occupy decisions, press releases, and official Occupy news articles.
The only difference with a republic is that the levels and representatives are not clearly defined in theory. In practice, OWS is a clear top to bottom pyramid with the 1% on top and the 99% at the bottom. You and I are part of the 99%, anarchists who reside in NYC and have much more power than us are the 1%.
Although I suspect what you say is true about OWS's structure, the accusation in the OP was against anarchists in general, obviously misunderstanding that anarchism, by definition, is anti-hierarchical. To use that miscomprehension as a barb, to imply that OWS is trying to fashion another Somalia, is just plain stupidity based on ignorance.
I know what the OP meant. I'm not referring to the OP or Somalia at all. Only to OWS.

I know you and he have crossed rhetorical and emotional swords before. I really don't want to be in the middle of that.
His observation that OWS is de facto hierarchical despite its theoretical aspirations may be valid: I don't know. But from other things I have read from a variety of sources, I believe it is a credible accusation. If so, it would be better to head it than deny it out of hand, not to hurt the movement, but to strengthen it. Critique is not condemnation, after all.
I know that you are a staunch supporter of OWS. I am too. I believe Cephalus, despite his conflict with you, is as well. That he has certain reservations is fine. I do, too. But on the whole, from what I've read in these fora, he is fully supportive of the general movement, if not so much some of the particulars.
I might very well be wrong about everything. But I believe that you should both put aside your enmity, at least temporarily, for the sake of the common good, for the sake of helping create real, positive change. "Sins" may have occurred from both sides. I hope you can put them behind you.
As for me, I won't get entangled in your feud.

I did not study the Somalia civil war. Their failure resulted from not organizing the people. If OWS launched an attack as of now, they would fail because OWS is far from organized. Anarchists are not savages. They are people. Somalia chose their direction but does not speak for all anarchists. Now if you don't mind, I have an airplane to catch.
Somalia functions well as an "anarchy" when the U.S. is not busy throwing it into chaos.
