End corporate rule world wide, stop the theft of our common wealth by the few, for their greedy power monger use.

The world belongs to us ALL not the 1% few that claim to own it all. These people will continue to take more than they need, until they are told, and then made, to stop it!
We have already told them, it is now time that we make them stop the deadly greed-mongering.

We can shut the system down, the corporate system and the military police-state that enables it.

We will tell the children, the 1% that misbehaves, that they now will give back what they have taken, and they will behave nicely, or they will be punished.

"The anger in the streets is also a rebuke to the economic policies of the government, which have relied heavily on construction and new housing in Istanbul to power economic growth. Turkey has had a resilient economy that emerged relatively unscathed from the global financial crisis, eclipsing the performance of Europe and many other nations. But some analysts worry the government’s focus on construction projects could lead to a bubble much like the one in the United States that led to the economic collapse of 2008.

Ms. Barbaros said, “What about the day when all these shopping malls will be empty like in Greece and then they will wish they never constructed them.”

She added: “Where are the opera houses? The theaters? The culture and youth centers? What about those? They only choose what will bring them the most profit without considering what we need.” "

From NY Times article (which didn't get to the real point until the end):

Exactly. And that is why we declare this entire system BULLSHIT.

Capitalism has dragged us into the mire. We can get our humanity back if we can claw our way out. And, look at this:

18 U.S. companies avoid paying $92 billion in taxes. BILLION.

How about NOT be in favor of violence?

Both the protesters (save for the ACTUAL original protesters who trying to keep a park from being demolished) and the govt of Turkey has both showed thier complete unwillingness to change.

Nothing will change if Violence remains the option.

Anybody planning a trip to Istanbul to offer their support?

I suggest you go to Zuccotti park today. Same fight, much closer to home. All that jet fuel burned in the sky is nasty poison to the air, and a wast of our limited energy.

There are already many people in Istanbul to resit the violent and oppressive government there. Think globally act locally.

I'm just beside Turkey at the moment. I'm taking a train so Istanbul tomorrow. It should take about 3 hours. That's where the action is. Nothing much will happen in Zuccotti. That's people looking for action, not real action being done. Are you going to Zuccotti? In any case, I gave up on US a long time ago. It's not my country, and I don't think change will come from it. It used to be a great place with all kinds of revolutions like the Women's Liberation, but now it's just stale and has fallen behind compared to other countries. The environment, gay rights, etc... US is not at the forefront anymore. It's way behind. It's better to concentrate where real change can be affected. Maybe US will follow suit later on.

Well like I said, act locally! Those of us who live in America need to take responsibility for fixing our homeland, as you point out is it badly broken currently. Even in the midst of the terrible atrocities committed buy our governments, and in our names, many great and revolutionary changes are taking place. You may not be hearing of them abroad, since most of the media is controlled by the corporate/military-police state, however it goes on nonetheless. Search; Degrowth, Permaculture, Slow Money, Relocalization, etc. to see some positive change, growing up from the grass-roots in America. (and around the world!)

Good luck in Turkey, stay safe, and force the government to resign in disgrace for their murderous actions against the people!

Thanks. I have a feeling we get more information about America from outside of America than from within.
