Pay every worker in your country/state a living wage!!! Can't be much of a power if you don't have a healthy market place = People ( lots and lots of People ) with more money in their pockets than is needed just to survive.

I could be wrong, but wasn't Germany's post-war economic miracle achieved by injecting money into the economy in a bottom-up fashion?

Here's some basic information about the trickle-down effect: http://youtu.be/5fbvquHSPJU?t=48m29s

I think you're talking about inverting the pyramid.

There are ways of creating money which isn't based on debt and is stable (i.e. it's purchasing power doesn't diminish). It takes away from banks the license to print money, which would result in greater equality and the wealth gap wouldn't widen exponentially. The solutions have already been figured out, but politicians haven't made the decision to implement them because they and their sponsors benefit from the current fractional reserve banking system.

If you want to be an economic super-power, allocate political and economic rights in a balanced manner. It impedes exploitative, extractive behaviour and allows everyone to have a fair slice of the pie (note: fair doesn't mean equal, it means fair).

first of all I do not think debt is the problem - if you read grabber ( I assume all occupiers know him) and many others then you know money is debt. debt that is controlled by private banks and individuals is a problem but not debt itself. debt is a tool like a hammer - it can be used to build houses or smash someone in the head. as to Germany I think it is a very informative case - hitler did not really use bottom up economic policies - he built tanks and weapons but created a fiat currency to achieve his goals. he reasoned thusly - we have the steel - the factories - the labor but no gold. hmmm - let me see if we can do this without the gold or the international bankers! and surprise surprise he did!

If you have the consumer base - you have the means for market direction/control.

one thing I would point out is that we need to move away from a consumer society based on iphones and video games and crap. we need an economy that focuses on production for use not for profit. we need to have an economy that builds the tools for our future beyond fossil fuels etc. sorry to be picky - I agree with most of what is said.

With a population ( whole population ) making - at the very least - a living wage. What country in the world would have the largest - strongest - healthiest - wealthiest - Market Place?

the densest population

China? at this point in time? They have got part of the equation - massive industrialization - too bad it is fossil fuel based - dirty fossil fuel operation based.

Currently empty of residents? Would fit in with their brand new empty/ghost cities - population can't afford to live there.
