Investors and Investment Companies (once the crooks have been arrested) need to have a sustainable industries category to delineate those industries that have already sworn to reduce their ecological footprint and who use fair trade practices.

This way, those individually socially conscious people could invest a certain percent of their portfolio into these industries. This would make other industries see the immediate profit incentive to committing to a sustainable future.

Thoughts??

There are tons of Mutual funds in this category...just a quick google search led to dozens of them. Green Century, New Alternatives, etc etc
