you can't open an account for the blogs at http://www.desmogblog.com/ - because of trolls. I.E.: Right wing scumbags. Oil men. Oil men intent on preservation of EMPIRE.

you think the bots are or ever were bad here, check http://www.desmogblog.com/ - and if you think it's bad there, then you should ask yourself - what in hell can it be like for the black man in the white house.

former and current members of the U.S. intelligence community have engaged in the equivalent of corporate espionage - and they think its funny.

what the fuk do you think the fly by of air force one over NYC was? Coincidence?

some of you think its funny.

I'd like ta shit on your lunch

I'm tempted to offer a reward for the video of the President on the dais in Turkey from way back when, but I don't suppose that just because he nearly jumped out of his skin when the cannon went off is any proof anyone hinted anything bad was going to happen is it . . . Turkey - Nato nation and ally, cross roads in the cold war, and U.S. nuke repository

.

you stupid cunts

BARK OBAMA

Thanks kindly, DKA.

Looks like something new with the shadow-bans.

I'll get to the bottom of it.

So glad to see you're sticking around, DKA.

Your welcome.

Sticking around? Well I never really left - but - have just been looking in from time to time. Sticking around? Well - perhaps but not as often.

Still really makes me sick ( all of the flame wars ) to see such a waste of time happening on a perpetual basis.

I hear you. Same here. And the flame wars come from otherwise intelligent people. Ahhh...human nature.

I'm here for a while every day, and read on, but don't have time to commit to long conversations, so I feel bad even starting them.

Like you, I have health to take care of, and two young ones. When activism goes on for long periods of time, from months to years, and we're writing, protesting and researching...eventually, somethings gonna give. So, we gotta take breaks and catch up on practical matters.

In part, that's why we need the numbers. So when it's time for a break, there will be enough of us to keep the movement going strong until we can return. Taking turns, ya know?

Be well & be safe.

Be well & be safe.

Thanks - and you as well.

Yes - advocating/working for a better world for all - is "so much more" than a full time job - especially when one considers the entrenched insane wealth that we ( the average individual ) is up against.

We really have no time for bad blood BS. I know I know - I am also guilty.

We're all on a monumental learning curve. There's gonna be bumps in the road. Growing pains.

I think when we get to a point where humanity has no choice but to act, our similar needs and rights will become all too apparent, and we can work well together when the need arises.

I am continually amazed by humanity and how when there is a need to act collectively, we rise to the occasion, despite the pettiness we sometimes partake in during more settled circumstances. In a crisis, as humans, we innately know what is important and needs doing, and what can wait.

This has been debated here before, but, the vast majority of people, in my humble opinion, are basically good and loving. Want to love and be loved...and are quite happy to share and spread that feeling universally, if given the chance.

What is abundantly clear is that the oligarchs won't ever 'give' us that chance. We have to take it, and make it happen with and for each other.

Educating the public on all matters is the key...and the " no time for bad blood BS" is as good a motivator as any.

Agree - now - the problem "is" we need to start acting - NOW. The learning curve better catch up to reality - our time to wait and debate is over - we were talking about the "now happening horrors" as a thing to come and to fight against when I was in kindergarten.

o, I almost forgot....blah blah, fukers fukers fukers.

There. That oughta do it.

Shall we wager on who's post will disappear first? Heheh. I think I know how this will unfold. Let's see...it's 3:35 pm EST.....

Mornin' sunshine.

Well, imagine my surprise this morning, to see your vulgar forum post and even more surprisingly my vulgar post still up, 19 hours later.

Interesting, that such unimaginative language that has nothing to do with OWS and really makes OWS look ridiculous, gets a pass, yet relevant threads like the one Shadz posted the other day get scrubbed.

I wonder why that is.

I also wonder why it is that my "MODS!!!" comment above, with 5 points, is not in the 'Best Comments' section, despite that it is well within the 24 hour time line, and there are several comments in the 'Best Comments' section with only 4 points. If the forum is working correctly, my comment should be there.

Not that my "MODS!!!" comment is of any importance really...but it just struck me as odd, that, as I've kept an eye on it since I noticed it two hours ago, it hasn't corrected.

It would suggest that, aside from folks as forum users being able to externally manipulate points with other usernames...now it seems that comments with higher scores that would naturally fall into the 'Best Comments' can be manually by-passed so they don't show up there. Hmmmm.

It would seem to me, that this sort of practice is most certainly a method of 'manipulating' the social trends and thoughts of the people on this forum and outsiders looking in. It would also seem to me, sadly,...that this sort of practice could only be initiated from within the moderation or administration of the forum.

Looks like someone has some explaining to do.

I wonder if anyone else has noticed this with other comments.

I'd love to be wrong about this.
