agree....goes a step further and offers constitutional rights to all people within the US.

A long shot. No MSM coverage, but worth a try to spread aroun.

No one here seems interested. I'm surprised.

Where's Trev when you need him?

[-] 0 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 11 years ago

I've called my congressman and congresswoman on this issue a bunch of times. I TMZ'd Deb Fischer trying to ask her about indefinite detention and spying on Americans.

Where are you?

[-] -1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

2 days too late. LOL. Oh well. but we got the weaker Feinstein-Lee Amendment. Conference committee next week. The repubs stand in the way.

Let's see your much vaunted outrage focused on them!

Or you can just attack Pres Obama!.

Obama did it! Obama .! Obama! did it! Did it! LOL

[-] 0 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 11 years ago

Yeah because chasing down Deb Fischer and calling Lee Terry's office is the same as solely blaming Obama.

[-] -1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Oh please you unprovable actions outside the forum are irrelevant.

If you are so against indef detention, why don't you link the vote. Agitate the specific pols who voted to extend it.

HERE on this forum! Where you spend all your time bashing Pres Obama and where you invariably stay silent on the guilt of the republicans who are behind this obscene rights violation.

Pres Obama has not used the authority that repubs added last year and defeated repealing 2 times.

If you remain silent I guess they will defeat the repeal again next week.

And you will blame Pres Obama. LOL

Remain silent? My nonprovable actions outside the forum are irrelevant?

It wasn't me. It was the one armed man. You still think I'm part of an evil conspiracy don't you?

[-] -1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I don't think your part of a conspiracy. I think you attack only Pres Obama on this indef detention issue (and others) when he has never used it, And you never attack the pols who created it in 2002, added it to the veto proof defense bill last year, defeated 2 attempts at repeal and now again show themselves to be on the wrong side.

Nothing from you! Not a word.! Repubs are the problem. So let's here the outrage towards the repubs who are set to defeat the repeal again.

Or you can blame Pres Obama! LoL

[-] -2 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 11 years ago

Apparently you havent read my several posts on HR 4310, the House version of the NDAA that contains these provisions.

My posts range from criticism of congress for banning same sex marriage in military ceremonies all the way to indefinite detention laws to even more war.

Again you are living in a fantasy conspiracy world where you have conjured up a fake story line about me.

Here's all the times I've posted on HR 4310 - http://occupywallst.org/forum/search/?q=hr+4310

My larger scale problem with this bill is the fact that it prepares for more war.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

So now I've read it all.

I saw plenty of anti Obama partisan attacks ( some comparing him to nazis) , I saw some anti Panetta comments, anti Ben Nelson, anti Bob Kerry. All Dems! And some weak Deb Fischer criticism (but she wasn't in office yet).

But not a single comment about the root of the problems. the fear mongering propaganda that repubs have used since they exploited the 9/11 attacks.

Not a single criticism of the repubs who created & voted (mostly) for the indef detention. nothing supporting the dem effort to repeal. No criticism of the repubs who defeated the repeal.!

Not a single comment acknowledging that it has been repubs pushing the strongest sanctions against Iran, Or the repub war mongering pressure that Dems resisted. No recognition that Pres Obama has indeed resisted that right wing pressure to invade Iran.

When is the invasion coming? Who stands in the way of repealing indef detention.?

Transparent partisanship. LOL

You don't know how to read

Asking "Will Obama sign to ban gay marriage with the congress?" is not an attack on Obama. It';s a legitimate question. Considering last time "he was forced to sign for indefinite detention" will he be forced here. What you missed is a criticism for congress which is the bulk of my talk on HR 4310 as well as their push for war with Iran.

What you need to learn is that the president is one of the most important aspects of the federal government. The president signs everything into law. Which is why he is always part of the conversation on these issues.

In regards to Bob Kerrey here is my verbatim comment in regards to him, "I couldn't find Bob Kerrey after the event to ask any questions. My questions for him would have been along the lines of preventing wars, ending wars, the patriot act, and proposing a minimum wage increase, etc." Asking the same questions I asked an opponent is not being bias. Look up the word "bias." That's you.

I never once said or mentioned the words Nazi, Germany, or Hitler in any of the posts I made on HR 4310. You are literally pulling that out of your ass.

It is you who is transparent, you dumb fuck.

Your bullshit wreaks.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I looked at every post you linked.

Here is the nazi crap you linked to:

http://occupywallst.org/forum/amerika-neither-land-of-the-free-nor-home-of-the-b/

Whassat about?

And with all your objections you have not identified a single comment about the root of the problems. the fear mongering propaganda that repubs have used since they exploited the 9/11 attacks.

That is what makes transparently partisan, THAT is what makes your outrage over indef detention/war dishonest, & questionable. That is why I continue to challenge you.

Your weak obscene insults simply prove I am right & you are wrong.

[-] -2 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 11 years ago

I did not post that articel dipshit. Those are not words I have said.

In my link was all the times "HR 4310" had been posted on. I told you to look at all the time's I've posted on the topic. Not the times other people did.

Again you are a jack ass.

The OWS forum search does not let you limit to only times I've posted on it. The link is a forum search for the words "HR 4310" because in my posts on the NDAA of 2013 I most frequently said "HR 4310"

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Oh so you admit you linked to it but you're blaming the OWS forum search function?

You didn't disavow it when you linked to and told me to "read it all"?

You didn't disavow it now either! You have said you didn't post it, but you haven't disavowed it. Doesn't that (as well as the fact that YOU linked to it) mean you agree with it.?

I mean you have spewed some pretty nasty offensive unfounded personal attacks against the President so I wasn't really surprised.

Why won't you disavow the nazi comparisons to Pres Obama you linked to?

[-] -3 points by ivyquinn (167) 11 years ago

The only issue I have with his is his vague terminology surrounding Feinstein. What 'work' is he speaking of...

[-] -3 points by ivyquinn (167) 11 years ago

I don't trust Rand. But he had great points.

[+] -4 points by john23 (-272) 11 years ago

Least he's fighting for us on this one.

[-] -1 points by ivyquinn (167) 11 years ago

Agreed.

[+] -4 points by Savimbi (-10) 11 years ago

Rand has a long way to go before he lives down his sucking up to the neocons and kowtowing to the GOP - but this is a good start.

[+] -5 points by john23 (-272) 11 years ago

Think he was playing a bit of chess....but regardless - anyone who goes against this deserves some credit.

[-] -2 points by Savimbi (-10) 11 years ago

Supporting Romney wasn't playing chess - it's resigning from the game.

[-] -3 points by john23 (-272) 11 years ago

yeah i couldn't stand him either.
