In an effort to understand conservatives, I've been listening to Rush Limbaugh.
Has anyone else tried this? He's really hard to take and not because I don't agree with him. For one thing, does he have some kind of disease that makes it impossible for him to finish a thought? He constantly stops, backtracks, seems like he's going to offer a fuller analysis, but always leaves you hanging. And he takes self absorbed braggadocio to levels I'm completely unfamiliar with. And dialogue seems completely beyond him. His callers timidly rephrase his wisdom until Rush jumps in, shuts the caller up, assumes complete control, and pontificates until sonorously concluding "Thank you, my friend, for raising that salient point." And if you're strong enough to be able to listen for 10 whole minutos, you might hear "You just can't make this stuff up."
I'm curious about others' reactions to Rush.
To be 'candid a' reaction to 'ThRush' would be to seek urgent medical help but as you seem to have a good heart 'ogoj' and a graceful way with words, please STOP subjecting yourself to ThRush Slimeball or exhorting others to do so - as any heart attack / apoplectic fit would be on your conscience, lol.
The ThRush ain't for people who can think & breathe at the same time, just like Sean Insanity and Bill Oh-Really and the fact that these muppets and their ilk seem to pull so much weight in The USA is an insult to, well - the very notion of human civilisation and evolution actually.

I'm deeply in your debt, shadz. Thanks for posting to Occupy Raleigh, so far the only person to do so, although a few others registered and looked around. Unfortunately, no replies so far. I can't understand those people sometimes. They'd rather talk about who's bringing donuts than how our world should run.
I guess what puzzles me about right wing propaganda is why it's so angry and scornful. The emotional range seems so limited. Why don't they have a conservative Daily Show, for instance?

Re. 'Occupy Raleigh', I owed you an apology for my rude manner and for confusing you with 'Trashy-Electron' (a saga in itself on this forum, alas) but I found a way to action my contrition more usefully. I will visit and contribute as an when I can and leave comments, irrespective of replies, though you may recognise some of what I post there from here.
Finally, don't be too disdainful of doughnuts as they have some use for keeping 'Officer Dibble' sweet & hopefully a li'l less inclined to crack heads, lol!

Don't forget the 100s of Rush wannabes on AM radio.
Some of those make Rush look pale in comparison.
If only is was just Rush and FLAKESnews, but it isn't.
Raleigh has a host who is calm and patient, a softer version of the right wing bs, a man who seems much more effective than Rush.
Sometimes I think Rush is the secular counterpart to the pompous phony preachers that reverend Billy (do you know him?) parodies.
Except Rush is a closet neolibe(R)tarian.

Great song. Thanks. I've heard a version at the gym, but didn't know who was singing, so I couldn't look it up.
It's quite a scene at the gym. All the American born folks, half naked, are in their own world, listening to Ipods. And there's always 4 or 5, women in hijabs with no Ipods watching the TV's endless beach volleyball tournaments and listening to the world's worst, crudest"music" on the gym's speakers. Nobody do you like I do you. uh huh uh huh grunt grunt What must these women be thinking?

Don't be so harse on Rush. If you took all the drugs Rush normally takes, you'd be in a coma. At least give him credit for staying conscience and babbling on for hours. Rush is so amp'd up on drugs, he can't even stay still in his chair. Constantly bobbing up and down, eyes bugging out. Rush is a total mess. It's amazing people listen to this train wreck for advice.
Do you know about his personal life? I was trying to listen without evaluating the content of the message, a challenging task.
I don't know much about his personal life. You must of heard about his notorious drug abuse and trial. The guy is an idiot and a hypocrite. He got busted for drug abuse that HE would have condemned anyone else for. When Rush got caught, he pleaded for forgiveness. Poor Rush, the innocent victim of drug abuse.
Rush is a hack. An entertainer. And thats about it.
That so many people take his, and every other person's talking points in the media. and treat them as facts, is a good sign of just how easy it is to keep a population brainwashed and divided.
