Louisiana is about to spend almost twelve million dollars to fund the teaching of creationism, charges Zack Kopplin, famous for organizing the effort to repeal the so-called Louisiana Science Education Act. In Kopplin's sights now is a controversial new voucher program in the state that uses public school funds to pay for tuition and certain fees at private schools for students who attend low-performing public schools and whose family income is below 250% of the federal poverty level. When the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education considered a set of accountability guidelines for such private schools at its July 24, 2012, meeting, Kopplin testified that of the roughly 6600 spaces available for students under the program, 1350 will be filled, as the Lafayette Independent Weekly (July 26, 2012) described it, "at private Christian schools that teach creationism and peg evolution as 'false science.'”

There's nothing like proving how useless government can be if you're a (R)epelcan't.

Still think the States don't matter?

Where are the Dems wasting money on such things?

Peter, like many others, is a man out of time and stuff like teaching creationism, isn't helping us at all..

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

That's not a lie.

Creationism is.

Try again.

you are such a mindless drone. the Dems own you.

Here. Maybe this will get you out of the house and to start helping out. Your master speaks.

do as you are told drone.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

You're the only drone.

You have a problem identifying parameters.

What you've posted, is not teaching children lies.

What Louisiana is doing does.

Plus it's unconstitutional.

If the Westminister Baptist Church (the Phelps are Dems) had forced Kansas to do the same thing for $50 million, you'd love it. It would be the best thing ever. You don't ever think.

Hey, wait a minute. You don't think for yourself. You don't volunteer or physically do anything to make the world better. You blindly follow your leaders. You really are the 99%! You can be our mascot!

Didn't you know the Phelps are Democrats? She's proud to admit it.

Shirly Phelps (Fred's daughter and the groups mouthpiece) is proud of her dad's time as a civil rights attorney and talks about it all the time, usually as she is talking about how god hates fag$

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Then why don't you talk about how lame it is teaching creationism?

How it's a very real step backwards?

How it's the kind of thing (R)epelican'ts love to waste money on.

How it destroys critical thinking?

Nah, it's you who's the "bot".

[-] -1 points by marvelpym (-184) 11 years ago

I agree with all of that about creationism. I'm an atheist. I also don't want Repubs wasting money on it and I don't want Democrats wasting money on it. I dont' want either of them wasting money on a lot of things. The difference between us is that i don't look away when one party does it.

I don't live in Boston, and when I post the crap they are pulling in Michigan, no one seems to notice.

So I look elsewhere, and it's not like La. is the only State (R)epelican'ts are pulling this crap in.

900+ plus bills endorsing limiting women's right too.

All being done by (R)epelican'ts, often with the help of ALEC.

Now Mr. Smartie Pants.

Show me where the Dems have done anything at all similar.

Find me the Dem version of ALEC.

You have a problem identifying parameters.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Actually, I outlined them for you.

You just have no appropriate response, because there isn't one that's factual.

I'll give you a new one.

Show me the Dem that's wasting tax payer dollars to force teachers to teach creationism in entire States school districts?

Show me the Dems that bitch like sissies at the word vagina?

(R)epelican'ts do that.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Just like a drone, you ignore the facts at hand and attempt to toss red herrings.

A cheezy attempt at insult too.......:)

Are you another that believes only 2nd amendment has any merit?

[-] 0 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

you should realize that when voting for bombs, you should not use the word drone in your partisan political mindset.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

You?

Toss a red herring as well?

You're smelling fishier and fishier every day.

Are you part of the voter suppression drive in Florida?

You sure do sound like it.

Plus you wish all kinds of bad things on the 99%.

So what's your partisanship all about?

He still is, in a libe(R)tarian/Mr. P kind of way.

Just further into his "claimed" denial.

I believe he even posted something from "the dailypaul" not too long ago.

[-] -1 points by marvelpym (-184) 11 years ago

actually the 17th's pretty cool too.

and i guess you like the government spending18 mil on teaching teens how to break up. i mean, as long as it's democrats who came up with it. 'drooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooone. must always agree with dems. can't have own opinon. my leaders are always right. droooooooooooooooooooooooooone"

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Are you drooooooooooooooooooooooling again?

Wipe yourself off and stand up straight, young man.

PS. You still haven't addressed the original post.

You lose.

[-] 0 points by marvelpym (-184) 11 years ago

"Where are the Dems wasting money on such things?"

i took that to mean other examples of "useless government" but I guess you were using a really really narrow definition of that.

both cases combined that's $30 million that could be put to much much better uses.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

It still doesn't fit the parameters.

Now, wipe off the drool and stand up straight.
