I think if a lot of naysayers took a psychedelic and were exposed to the ideas of permculture, new urbanism, autonomous building, aquaponics, worker owned businesses and cooperatives, horizontal localized democracy, direct democracy, opensource, etc.. perhaps they would be more receptive to the changes we need to make to make a better country. i want the u.s. to be the best nation in the world and a model for all others.

{ EDIT } It would take such - psychedelics - to blow past all of the bullshit programming that people have been fed - to - EXPAND - the mind to see/recognize real healthy alternative possibilities for living as well as to see reality as it is = a commercial of fictions fed to them to keep them quiet/passive/dumb.

EDIT -> OK - not "everyone" would require psychedelics - as there are many who are awake and aware - but - still - there are so MANY that are currently in sad shape as far as reality and possibilities go that - could benefit from a psychedelic trip.

exactly

Someone does not like your agreement - not surprising - there are plenty who would keep the blindfolds tightly tied and in place = On OTHERS some actually on themself.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

Even for those who are currently awake/aware a periodic psychedelic vacation could be very good to blow out the cob-webs and refresh the system/spirit.

Not a bad idea at all, 'qm'!

And please...if there's a God in heaven (I'm an atheist, lol!), let it be Ayahuasca.

Amen? ( on another comment ) and so atheist? How about backing off a little - and be agnostic.

There is much to be contemplated about the existence of pure evil - of the possibility of possession.

I mean - think about it.

One need not kill the world to have limitless wealth - limitless wealth can be sought/engendered through healthy practices rather than toxic.

So why is it not?

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

Ahhhh - I see someone didn't like that comment about the existence of real/pure/evil.

So sorry - but - it makes sense - that it does exist - otherwise - how can you explain the stubborn adherence to toxic and murderous pursuits ? When there are healthy alternatives.

[-] 3 points by Renneye (3874) 9 years ago

I totally agree, DK...I've seen pure evil all over this beautiful globe of ours, and have no doubt at all, that it exists.

It is unfortunate, but humanity has a ways to go before reaching a good level of enlightenment.

One has to hang on to happinesses, though, when there are incremental successes.

Such as...

Elite Paedoplilia Ring Investigation -

"We now have SEVEN MP’s calling for national inquiry and police investigation, into rampant institutionalised paedophilia and child snuff rings, operating in and around Parliament and the establishment."

Yep, there is pure evil in this world. Thank goodness there are good people who are willing to go through hell to help the innocent.

Agnostic? Naw, I've been through my thing with religion and belief.

Truth be told...technically, I would have to say that my overall approach to anything in life regarding proof or rather, lack of...would then classify me as agnostic, 'cause, in fact, no-one knows for sure...not you, not me, not anyone. But, for how I live my day-to-day life, atheist is closer to my ultimate belief. But, you know me...f#ck I hate labels.

Amen? I love language and the strength of emotion behind certain powerful words. Personally, it has nothing to do with religion and I enjoy much of the language and non-religious meaning in the Christian bible, as well as the other biblical texts.

It's a curious thing, though. Whenever I ask one simple question of people who insist that I should believe in God..."How many gods are there?" The response is every shade of visceral. From mild defensiveness to volatile, indignant, sputtering, 'you're a devil worshipping' monster.

To each, his own.

You have chosen - good - it is a choice - I can not understand those who choose evil. This I think is also a thing that sensitizes people to questions about their religion - because religion is "supposed" to be About Good - but quite often has nothing to do with it = good - as an institution.

A peyote button and go on a spirit quest?

[-] 0 points by quantumystic (1710) from Memphis, TN 9 years ago

well they obviously need to change their approach to life. they are very negative about the possiblities.

[-] 2 points by quantumystic (1710) from Memphis, TN 9 years ago

i think you have a fundamental misunderstanding about the nature of psychedelics and what i am purposing.

[-] 1 points by wickerman (62) 9 years ago

I think that drugs produce an ALTERED reality. Drugs do not let you see reality, the universe gave us everything that we need to see reality within ourselves. To suggest that we need some chemical, natural or otherwise, to see reality clearly is absurd.

or.....they allow you to see things how they truly are, infinite.

Americans currently smoke 17.9 million pounds of marijuana per year as it is.Mostly, people would like to have a job to go to so they can take care of themselves, their families, and save for their retirement.I can't see how everybody tripping would bring that about.Nobody is going to really believe the system doesn't work anymore until gasoline is so expensive they can't drive to work and the semis don't roll. Then,Americans will be filled with Shock and Amazement and it will be time to start Squabbling about Where to Lay the Blame. At that point maybe the Squabbling would be less nasty if everybody is tripping. At some point we are going to have large numbers of people who are very pissed off and looking for a scapegoat.I'm going to go out on a limb and say that probably it would be better for everybody if the American People are NOT tripping whenever they get around to attempting to come to grips with problems that have been festering for 4 decades.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

All the more reason that TPTB should be main lining marijuana into the population - as marijuana is calming not provoking. As the common cause of ill are the wealthy who currently are in charge - "there" will be the common focus of rage along with all who support them.

When people can't put gas in their vehicles, they are going to be SO pissed off.I mean REALLY.Around here, the people are so ignorant and stupid they think there's always gonna be gas and diesel and cars and tractor trailers forever, and the Government is able to provide this lifestyle for them.Market manipulation alone cannot control energy prices completely. We have had a nice little warm-up in the area of Resource Wars.Seems like that didn't work out well at all,(ironic)LOL

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

The problem of having a dumb-ed down populace and a final failure to provide them with what they have been promised ( lied to ).

[-] 1 points by trashyharry (3084) from Waterville, NY 9 years ago

Buzzkill city.We need to form delegations of civilians to place the War Criminals,War Profiteers and Banksters under Citizens' Arrest. Not nearly enough attempts have been made.Someone tried on behalf of First Nations People and I think citizens tried to nab Blair in England-where he no longer lives, lol.I remember a large group of Canadians tried to arrest Cheney during the war.Medea B.probably has tried to Arrest the Criminals.

One can certainly hope for the rule of sanity to break-out. So many that need to face charges of crimes against humanity.

[-] 1 points by trashyharry (3084) from Waterville, NY 9 years ago

Here in NY State, there is always room to house more Convicted Felons. The huge expansion of Prisons under Gov Mario Cuomo would accommodate most of them,I hope.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

Not to worry - just make sure that they get to enjoy their place in the prison general population.

[-] 2 points by trashyharry (3084) from Waterville, NY 9 years ago

LOL-Elliot Spitzer was planning on arresting & suing the Banksters. He is lucky they were able to destroy him with a sex scandal. They would have paid someone to kill him if they had to.They think they will never see the inside of NY State Prison walls.Hubris.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

Probably one of the reasons that they are not being aggressively pursued by any legal team/institution = fear by those in the legal system of being murdered. Huh the cowards - where is their machismo?

[-] 1 points by trashyharry (3084) from Waterville, NY 9 years ago

The Narco Cartels murdered the entire Supreme Court of Columbia.I think Italy and Mexico have both had lots of prosecutors murdered. The Italians eventually locked up the worst thugs,as did Columbia.Things must be REALLY bad in Mexico."Plata ou Plombe?"

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

And those in positions to know - state and federal drug war - know that those people had no chance - as the drug program down Mexico way and beyond is getting support - of the covert governmental type. A southern theater of Shock Doctrine.

They operate just like the Mafia. They work and socialize with people for years and then send them to get murdered by Bushwhackers.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 years ago

Nah - organized crime finally got smart and learned from the professionals in government.

They work and socialize with people for years and then send them to get murdered by Bushwhackers.

Reminiscent of a certain formerly living and breathing Colonel Q. Popular partner one day out in the cold the next day.
