PEOPLE this is not just about down loading material - it is an opening of the door to spy and report on your activities

From : DemandProgress.org

Super -- in 48 hours, more than 80,000 of you have taken a stand againt the big ISPs' new Six Strikes plan. The ISPs have chosen to spy on us and to punish their own customers.

As they roll out their Six Strikes regime it's imperative to demonstrate public opposition -- and to let other ISPs know that there's a broad base of potential customers who will support them if they decide not to engage in this punitive plan.

Will you use these links or forward the email below to make sure your friends stand up too: [fb] If you're already on Facebook, click here to share with your friends.

Six Strikes is here.

Beginning today, AT&T, Cablevision, Comcast, Time Warner Cable, and Verizon have all agreed to start spying on their users.

That's right. The US's largest Internet Service Providers are implementing a new "online infringement" plan to identify and punish, with virtually no due process, users suspected of downloading copyrighted content.

Click here to tell the ISPs: no cyber-snooping, no punitive new copyright rules.

After a year of back room dealing with the MPAA and RIAA, the nation's top ISPs have agreed to use the so-called "Copyright Alert System" (or "Six Strikes") to go after customers suspected of file-sharing

Following a series of escalating warnings, the plan would allow ISPs to slow down, or "throttle," the Internet connection of suspected copyright violators.

And if you want to contest the accusation? That will cost you $35.

Click here to put the ISPs on notice: stop overly punitive infringement policies or we'll take our business elsewhere.

The new plan would jeopardize open and public WIFI networks, and lead to widespread wrongful accusations for those who share a network at home, in a WIFI hot spot, or in the workplace.

Six Strikes is designed to safeguard the profits of America's wealthiest industries by tracking, targeting, and punishing internet users. Click here to oppose Six Strikes.

Please urge your friends to take action TODAY by forwarding this email or using these links: [fb] If you're already on Facebook, click here to share with your friends.

Good to see you posting Nevada1. It boggles the mind that you would have been banned by a site that proposes to support the 99%. What??

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Nevada1 - Hey - please contact the forum site and see if they can help. as I can see no reason why they would Ban you and I feel that your IP or something has been tagged by a forum attacker - the forum admin will be the only ones I can think of who could spot tampering and maybe remove it.

Prosecution and Suppression proves the US Congress is Fascist and will never oppose the Big Business Interests. The excuse of Strategic Positioning of Troops, Proving the Willingness and Ability of US Force, and the need to Bribe world leaders for strategic advantate totally fails in light of higher principals to protect Domocracy and Soverignty of Nations.

This is just as True concerning Securing and Exploiting Natuaral Resources.... Strategic National Interests/National Security is all about Natural Resources, Financial Risk, FInancial Corruption, Military Power, Military Alliances, and Currency & Petro Dollars.

Now we should end the wars, force our soldiers and airmen to station in the USA, close down bases in South Korea, Japan, Spain, Italy, Germany, Etc. What we are in 170 countries or something. And we spend more on weapons ... it is all just a scheme, a financial scheme that MIC Lobby sets up wars and contracts with DOD & Congress. But look we have great funding for our people, so take a look at the numbers.

The 13th Amendment states, “involuntary servitude and slavery is abolished except for those duly convicted of a crime.” The “exception clause” leaves slavery still in effect for those convicted of crimes. Today America, with 5% of the world’s population, has 25% of the world’s prisoners.

While I do not support how the ISPs are accusing before proving (due process), I find it strange that nowhere in you post that you condemn the illegal downloading of copyrighted material.

People - don't steal.

Happy now?

[-] 1 points by engineer4 (331) 11 years ago

Why not update with a statement in the post where everyone may see it. That's where it belongs, not down here.

[-] -1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Done - feel free to add your own admonishments.
