History of corporate personhood: source-wikipedia

In 1818, the United States Supreme Court heard the case Dartmouth College v. Woodward, 17 U.S. 518 (1819), making the following statement in their decision: "The opinion of the Court, after mature deliberation, is that this corporate charter is a contract, the obligation of which cannot be impaired without violating the Constitution of the United States. .......add more

Why this doesn't work for the 99%:

This doesn't work for the 99% because it makes corporations super people in the eyes of the law. Corporations can't go to jail in cases of wrong-doing. They don't have to drink the water in cases of pollution. ......add more

What we want done to change it:

Pass an amendment to the US constitution stating that corporations are not people and do not have the same rights as people. ????

Please don't beat me up too bad for the list I came up with as I am posting this as a suggestion for formatting the objectives/demands in a way that can be read easily, explain how we got here, explain in detail why we are pissed, and then explain in detail again how we want things changed. A final suggestion is to come to some agreement about the main list then have a separate forum page for each one and let us armchair supporters(my job gets in the way) help debate and edit each page. Thanks for what you are doing in NY and around the country!
