I am SO Blamed tired of the Corruption we are dealing with, yet have to as a Citizen.. Follow the rules? WHY? There a different standard for those that have power to make or change the rules.. than for those the rules are made to guide us. I have a Senator and a Congressman that have made the same investments i did, but.. on the same stocks we owned that went Bankrupt.. they show a loss far greater than i with LESS SHARES owned!..?? .. I See the Attorney General Owned Fanny Mae in 2007, but he sold his shares i week before they were investigated.. No one else see THAT? I also know that NEIL BUSH owned shares of WORLD COM.. But did not have to declare his SELLING of over 1.7 Mill.. BEFORE IT WENT BK!! I See that the Gov. of Ill. In 2001, bought shares of Halliburton.. But, Halliburton had no Contracts in IRAQ..at the time of his purchase of those shares , Months later.. Came the War.. and Halliburton had all the Contracts they wanted.. no other Bids allowed! ( Cheney's Company) .. I know of Senator of Penn. that voted against the war in Iraq.. Later, after his dissenting vote..Kept his Portfolio open under his Wife's name for WAR GSA Contracts. I know of Congresspersons.. who Voted against the UTR..that engaged in frivolous votes that allowed the change in Status of the NAKED SHORT Period to be Delivered.. 2007 and 2008.. Yet now, Are making total opposing statements about their votes!! I know enough to LIGHT that TORCH.. AND shout 'WE SHALL OVER COME'.. As I Set Wall Street Ablaze with the Truth!

Banks are no different now than the 'HOUSE' Advantage in a Vegas Casino. ... ..M.

Post from 2 years ago yet nothing has changed in Washington. Insider trading is still legal for congressmen just not legal for us citizens. That's because congress makes different rules for us than for them. We would go to jail. This is how congress has gotten so rich and powerful and why they won't change anything. They just feed us lines to make us think they are doing something but they have done nothing. Dodd-Frank bill does nothing. It's just an appearance of something to make us think they are fixing things but in reality they will never do anything that would take away their power to get wealthier and wealthier. We need to get rid of the congressmen that passed the laws that benefitted congress and the banks and caused our financial meltdown and bring in new blood that will serve us, the people that hire them. Get your state and district candidates running for office today to promise to get rid of the laws that led to these criminal acts.
There are other things we need to demand of them besides the up-tic rule. The most important is Glass-Steagle reinstated. These things started in the 1990s, yet the same congressmen that changed these laws are still sitting in congress 20 years later, multiplying their wealth and power and hurting the rest of us and the economy. I used to work on Wall Street in a lowly capacity.Nevertheless,I knew many traders,tax attorneys,and investment bankers.Not because I ever approached them in any way.They approached me-because they wanted to tell someone about all the weird stuff that they knew and talk about rumours about weird things that seem to happen to people on Wall Street.They wanted to talk to a person who was not stupid,but safely inconsequential-a person such as I was at the time.They told me some things that made my hair stand on end.Some of those stories turned out to be true;in the case of the worst stuff,the truth is not likely to ever be known.Wall Street is a scary place.

I'm an OWS activist, so yeah, I hate all the 1%. I dedicated a year to fight them!
Most of the people I meet at OWS are not really hateful. Most are progressive people filled with the kind of compassion that drives us to care for our fellow citizens.
And although we rail against the 1% we also recognize it is only a term. Believe it or not there are "millionaires who support the 99%". You haven't heard of them? We don't hate all people in the1% do we.? In fact why would we hate anyone? Seems kinda counterproductive.
