Let's say we build a new community - we can call it Zion in a nod to the Matrix movie. This 'Zion' can simply be a self sustaining territory within the US, we can annex 'federal land' along the coast of Northern California and Oregon.
A peaceful revolution. And yes, this will work. It has before, and will again.
Are there any web sites out there that discuss or outline 'better' forms of government, or evolutions from the one we currently have?
Why secede as a community and not as individuals? Why not assert personal independance? or Individual Soveriegnty? Why do I need to move to Northern California or Oregon? Why not put it in Southern Florida or Iowa or Rhode Island? or SouthWest England? or Punjab, India? or Siberia? or New South Wales, Australia?
Could I not be 'self-sustaining' anywhere?
I would like to know about this too. To me the economy is actually the cradle of where the government lays. This is usually what a government relays on, so it can maintain and develop its people. The founding fathers were a bunch of businessmen that wanted to get away from taxation without representation. We are seeing an economy downturn that is not really ending. Is this telling us something?
