Has it occurred to anyone else that when we start paying attention to what our government is (and has been) doing, we discover so very many things that need fixing that it becomes overwhelming? A Congress that readily authorizes drones and spying and illegal detention of its citizens for mere suspicion, but does nothing at all for the benefit of the people, is a very bad sign for any protest movements. I submit that this particular legislation is more out of fear of its citizens than of outside attacks. No wonder people want to have guns. Our government and our people both arming themselves with major firepower cannot bode well for our future.
