Forum Post: OWS photograph on website

I spent just a moment looking at the photo that is on the OWS website. I noticed the faces of the 'young' people holding the banner and the young girls standing on the steps. The very first thing that went through my mind was a question. The question, "How many of those young people pay property taxes on homes they have purchased and how many are paying an income tax?" I would bet, NONE. They are young kids going through life thinking that everyone else has a responsibility to contribute to society,,, just not them. They all look like "takers" rather than providers. Mommy and daddy have provided for them, probably have a huge student loan. But they are not paying on that loan,,, mommy and daddy are. Out on the steps,,, just having FUN. They dont have a clue about responsibility or giving back. Their goal is to take and take. Look at the smiles and how happy they are with ZERO responsibility. They will wake up one day and look back on the OWS and wish they had that time BACK to work toward something rather than a whining session. How about buying property and paying the taxes that everyone else has to pay to feed you. A very sad photo.

You young person are the a typical me first cry baby. Instead of doing something positive you stand around and Bitch at those who do.You are a waste and a burden with your self important phoney morality.I doubt that you have done any thing constructive with your life. All of your post have a negative combative narative. If what the young people at OWS anoy you so much why do you troll around so much?

Change the entier naratve.Focus on the destruction of the middle class.Show the citizens that the authorities are more concerned with the welfare of a few than that of the many.Bring into question how a nation that has unlimited dollars for national offense can not afford to fix it's infrastructure,schools.etc.How all public services now are subverted and destroyed to be sold off at the lowest bidder for profit.Example our National highway system, our prison system, our postal service. The fact that those who bankrupted our economy have enriched themselves at the peoples expense. The list is ENDLESS!

The "entire narrative" OMG, I had NO idea how important this was. I use Microsoft "Project" to track,,, well, projects. I want to include the "entire narrative" and track it to completion. Can you have that done in three months? So, end entire narrative on June 1, 2012? Cool. A month on your other things is all the time I can give you. Yes,,, I know it has taken over 230 years to get us to this point and YOU probably wont live another 230 so it is important to get your mission done really soon. 230 years go fast. Good luck. I'm counting on you to fix 230 years. (hope you dont have competition with people that DONT agree with you, it could a LOT longer)

I understand.I also understand tha tOWS has focused the peoples attention to many issues that have been neglected. Most importantly who owns our country our political system and why are they so intent on destroying it for there own profit.

Its a beautiful picture. Seeing the youth of America using their constitutionally protected rights. They have every right to be out there protesting, and I'm glad that the new generations are aware of that right.

Most people around the world protest against their government. Young Americans protest because they love their mother government. Interesting.

They look like people unwilling to turn their backs on things like this...and question why in a world of abundance there are people with so little - these are the 99 percent and they are suffering while 1% hordes all the worlds wealth - a world that came with so much but yet still there are much sadder and
much more pertinent photos ...... http://www.google.com/search?q=starvation&hl=en&rlz=1C1GGGE_enUS346US346&prmd=imvns&source=lnms&tbm=isch&ei=LZZNT8_WJeHL0QHZ06X6Ag&sa=X&oi=mode_link&ct=mode&cd=2&ved=0CBIQ_AUoAQ&biw=1536&bih=772

And if you are correct,,,, one MUST assume that tens of thousands of people would be protesting. You can swing a dead cat at an OWS protest and not hit anyone. I really dont think,,,,,,, you have a lot of 99% that join your belief. I will stick my head out the front door and see how many are out there protesting. NONE

[-] 1 points by elf3 (4203) 12 years ago

but how many people are getting ready we're just formulating out thoughts or couldn't you tell ? There are millions of us out here ... who've never been to an OWS protest - it's about timing we want as many people as we can - keep on downsizing wallstreet, keep raising prices, we're coming for you ...better sleep with your eyes open

I was listening to Geraldo Rivera on the radio,,, just yesterday. The guy has covered issues around the world for decades. From the smallest issues to the most complex. He said that he has visited with OWS people several times and here is his quote, "I have NO IDEA what they want. They have no idea what their goals are. You talked to several dozen and you get several dozen different goals. They have no clear direction." With this thing going on for months and as late as yesterday one of the smartest street reporter in the WORLD thinks you are lost,,, I think I sleep well. Go home, get a job. Your wasting everyones time.

Figures that you would listen to Heraldo. He is one of the most well known Bag of shit tabloid journalists to have ever drawn a breath. And here you are touting what Heraldo might have to say.

LOOZER.

I have no idea who Heraldo is? Some idiot YOU listen to?

[+] -4 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

Don't be coy.

You know who I am talking about.

Your Hero.

Your Idol.

The one you try to emulate.

The epitome of Obnoxious asshole, the poster child of Blowhard International. The useless one. Gheraldo.

Geeze I wonder how many times that idiot has gotten his nose broken in an interview?

[-] -1 points by FreeDiscussion5 (12) 12 years ago

Now,,, who is Gherlado?

And YOU,,,,,,,,,,,,, want to change the world. Amazing. (please do have children)

yeah you can really 'judge" an entire movment from one photo that you supposedly claim to have seen of two women when there are 10,000's of people that have protested.

No two people out there protesting have the same exact views on everything as it should be, so you can hardly pigeonhole and sterotype the protesters as you have attempted to do.

[-] -2 points by FreeDiscussion5 (12) 12 years ago

No,,, they all have that goofy look.

Let me guess, when you were our age you had a job?

Why don't you tell us a little about yourself...let's all see how righteous you are.

Fair enough. Thanks for asking. I will be 61 next week. Married, grown daughter with three grand kids. Have had only three jobs in my entire life. I'm very loyal, work hard and was rewarded for that. I contributed to the success of each place I worked and they contributed to my success. I have started a couple of companies. Moderately successful but wanted other things. Got a 30 year loan on my (new constructed) three bedroom, two car garage on a 1/2 acre property and paid it off in 22 years. Own two cars, one under 30,000 miles (Grand Prix) the other just rolled over to 100,000 because I love it. Paid off all and have zero debt and pay only with a debt card. I have an IRA, 401K and pretty significant savings. I will probably not even need Social Security. I pay cash for everything. Contribute to our United Way, Red Cross, Cancer Society, many local issues. Never received money from a rich parent, made it on my own. My wife did the same thing. Love God, America, family and friends. NRA member but have never hunted or fished. In my teen years played guitar in garage bands and later raced motorcross. Bought all my stuff by working. There you go. Dont think I'm a nut case and dont think the dozens of people I'm very close to would think Im a nut case. Most come to me for financial advise on major purchases. I would bet any friend would be willing to loan me $1,000 on a simple handshake if I needed it. I vote republican because I tend to get a return on that vote. There you go.

Thanks for sharing. And since you did, I think it's only fair that I do the same. Though I'm not going to, because I look like a fuck-up in comparison.
