Forum Post: OWS needs to own it's problems... something they are not willing to do.

A 3rd church that was allowing OWS to shelter it's members have told them they can no longer help them. Why? Because the solid brass baptismal font of the West Park Presbyterian Church was stolen. That wasn't the first incident of theft at West Park... the pastor's laptop was stolen as well.

Some of the movement members refuse to believe it was any of their own.

This illustrates how vigilant the Occupy Movement must be if it is to protect its name and reputation.

It illustrates how they need to get some concrete policing of themselves in place. And they need to own up to the fact that their are those within the movement that need to be ejected, something that they have refused to do.

Give them time. What you suggest runs counter to the anarchist principle of autonomous self regulation.

Whether this is an example illustrating that there are those within the movement who need to go, or those operating around the periphery intent on discrediting it, remains to be seen.

So in the OWS society rapists and thieves are to be accepted as a matter of course and do nothing about it? And this is what they believe will make this country better?

Does it matter whether it's bad apples within the movement or people seeking to discredit the movement? Wrong is wrong and shouldn't be tolerated in any society.

Not surprised that this post didn't get but one comment. It seems OWS is not interested in fixing it's internal problems, yet they seem to think they can cure the ills of this country.
