This content is user submitted and not an official statement

that way we can ignore the ID's we dont want to see.. and if enough are ignored.. they will know it and have no other choice but to leave.

It works other places... Think About it.

What we need is a "report abuse" button alongside the "↥like ↧dislike reply permalink" buttons.

Paint.. that requires a Staff and App to make it effective. Expensive.

But the ignore button is a simple App with memory. got to look out for us at every turn..right?

Adding it as a feature is not expensive. Every forum I have ever been on has it as a feature, from sites with a few hundred members to ones with over a million. And there are SUPPOSED to be moderators here. It would SAVE them time is they didn't need to read through every posting for signs of rules violations, but instead go directly to reported ones first. If there are none, this site should shut down. If it cannot enforced it's own rules, it should take those rules off the website.

I'm sorry to be so harsh about it, but this site is supposed to be a support and idea-sharing gathering place for OWS SUPPORTERS. Instead it has become inundated with trolls. Their attacks are increasing. And Moderators seem blithely unaware or overwhelmed. Those trolls need to be reported and banned. And a report button would help the mods do it and take up less of their time.

Oh.. dont be sorry.. we Are ALL Frustrated.. and i Do know they used to Block those who would cause mayhem.. I dont know if they are Still doing that... But i agree with you... Have a great Day!

Good thought.

And those who abuse the button can be booted. Track the signal input or it will just be abused by the trolls.

People gotta have a right to plug their ears.

They plug theirs, we plug ours. Two isolated camps and no dialog. I know, I know, they're entrenched. So are we. Maybe one or two of them will listen. Maybe one or two of us will listen to them. Not a great situation, but better than a complete shutdown (imo).

You may find it hard to believe, but every once in a great while, I actually learn something from them -- even if it's what NOT to do.

100% correct. And it will fall on deaf ears. Conservatives contribute nothing but pain, death, and oppression to humanity.

How Dog ? they Can say anything.. WE just dont have to read it!

I know they are very annoying. My point was that if both camps shut themselves off from each other, then you can't really understand opposing opinions. Most of the time I think they are just flat-out wrong. But on rare occasion I learn something from them, even if it only confirms to a greater degree something I already believed. On even greater rare occasion, they might even say something that almost makes sense (gasp!).

I just don't think the answer lies in restricted dialog. Unlike some folks on these forums, I can digest their input and usually quickly determine if I am dealing with an idiot or a intelligent person who is misguided (from my point of view of course). I'm particularly looking for any possible open-minded centrists who could be won over through intelligent well-reasoned discussion. Yes, rare, but I've run across a few on these forums.

Sweetie.. the IGNORE is an individual choice.. it doesnt keep them from View on the Board.. just YOUR View.. See? And there Are some that you just KNOW are not here for a Civil Debate...

Well if that's the case, and people would have a choice, I can't see anything particularly wrong in that. I can think of a few that I would definitely block out :-)
