Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Cal.), founder and co-chair of the more than 400-member Congressional "Out of Poverty" Caucus, responded to a question from Executive Intelligence Review about NAWAPA XXI, today, that any program that could create four million-plus jobs should be examined "closely and seriously."

The exchange took place during a conference call for media on poverty rates in the United States, hosted by Rep. Lee. Over 15 media were online. Responding to a report from one of the three experts invited to speak with her, the Congresswoman emphasized that what is happening in Europe shows that you cannot simply cut your way out of a recession (sic).
