I think the tactics used in the Arab Springs are hard in America. If you want to see a true change, you have to understand that the difference between a revolution and a philosophy is when people believe something in their heart, not just in their minds. There is ideas that are revolutionary, that are slowly replacing old ideas (green cities, reformation in living, and how a community should be). The trouble is human nature mimics both the good and bad, unless there is motivation to change. Change is by force (negative), social pressure (usually negative), friendships (positive), understanding (positive), or response to change for the better (positive). If you want permanent change friendship (has to be inclusive not exclusive : believe in the human potential not its current state), understanding (make message clear, simple, and reasonable), and make an environment where people can see changes not just hopefor it. I'm not an advocate of violence and one of the reason is that scars are embedded in the society it creates. One thing you will notice is that the Taliban, revolutions, and other extreme groups met the needs of the poor. To change the perception of the OWS movement 1) criticize ideas not people, 2) state things in such a way that people who disagree feel good to join, 3) take care of the needs of the poor (suggest starting an OWS charity that is run by the group; but this needs to be strictly maintained in order not to get a bad reputation). 4) outreach to those you wouldn't consider allies those of moderate means (not rich) and make them see that you are for them 5) find meaningful friendships with others. It is not just a matter of getting a group together; the group must have virtue to the public. Some of the most effective Military programs to change perception of the United States is reconstructive or development programs to meet hearts and minds. Small groups working together can reach out to others very effectively; remember try to think like those who aren't with you think and find paths that can change their perceptions. It really is a guestion of meeting hearts and minds. Find what people like to do, and they will be happy todo it. ;) Rich can marry, but sometimes they die with a wife not a wife who is a girlfriend. Sometimes they die with a wife with a girlfriend. There are things that are special in human existence, that they are of obvious value outside of philosophy and belief, things that can not be owned, sometimes it is just the state of ones soul. Sometimes it is experiences to remember and being alive. Everyone has the potential for these things, hopefully in the future more people can find what is special in this existence.

1) criticize ideas not people,

We can change the ideas, and the bad people (banksters) will find ways to adapt and steal even more. I disagree with this. We need to get the bad people. They caused this. They need an example made of them. Jail time, and plenty of it.

2) state things in such a way that people who disagree feel good to join,

Absolutely. The Movement is leaderless and non political. All good people are welcome to join. Banksters can stay away.

3) take care of the needs of the poor (suggest starting an OWS charity that is run by the group; but this needs to be strictly maintained in order not to get a bad reputation).

This is already happening. The Occupy Movement does not care about its image. We want to do good. This resonates with many churches and mosques. However, the intent of No 3 is great.

4) outreach to those you wouldn't consider allies those of moderate means (not rich) and make them see that you are for them

We outreach to all good people. There are good rich people, like Warren Buffet and Bill Gates. We know they are our allies, and they can't stand banking thieves either.

5) find meaningful friendships with others.

We are certaiin trying. This Movement is for all good people. Most people are good. Most of the bad ones are bank executives. You can easily find them. The bad guys have titles in the bank like Associate VP or Assistant Director. We are not against managment like Area Managers, just the big bosses.
