Dear Congressman McClintock, The government of President Roosevelt did create jobs with The New Deal and with government spending for WWII. Our government can create jobs when the need is great. Congressman, the need is great! The experiment of cutting taxes for the rich and cutting programs for the poor has failed. "Cowboy Capitalism" does not work, it is socialism for the banks and corporations and nothing for the rest of us. The mixed economies of Northern Europe (Germany, Sweden, Denmark, etc.) have a higher standard of living than the United States of America. They have a middle class, and the rich pay their fair share of taxes. I encourage you to support President Obama's American Jobs Act. We do not have to experience another world war to have another recovery, but you do have to tax, borrow, and spend like President Roosevelt did during the New Deal and WWII to provide a real recovery in 2012. If we do not have that level of taxing, borrowing, and spending then we may face a second American Revolution. Have you noticed the hundreds of protesters who have occupied wall street for more than a week? Have you noticed their numbers growing? Have you noticed governments falling around the world after popular revolts this year? Have you noticed that corporations have undermined our democracy? We the people have noticed! If the people of the United States no longer trust the legitimacy of the government how long do you believe it can stand? Take a stand against the Corporate Republic, take a stand with the people of the United States of America. If our nation falls what difference does a deficit make? If our nation stands then the deficit is worth it! I encourage you to support President Obama's American Jobs Act.

Sincerely, Anthony W. Palmer, MA.
