There is NO proof that this is an Occupy Protest. First if you look carefully that flag is/was on fire, which I am sure would draw even more criticism and condemnation from the group. Second the banner behind them looks like it may be greek letters or a non-latin alphabet (Maybe). Third New York is COLD right now, why would there be so many shirtless people (the guy in the back is in his underwear God sakes).
where did this take place at?! i fully support OWS and love my country, but this is embarrassing to our movement. those people who didn't intervene should be ashamed of themselves. it's people like this asshole that ruin take our movement two steps back.

no, this is one person. in my many days protesting at Occupy NYC, i haven't come across anyone that has acted remotely like this. with regards to any population, you can't take one person and label them as "The" representation of the movement. that would be like saying this guy "is" the representation of our race of human beings, and i'm sure that would upset you and cause you to argue that blanketed statement.
Your a liar. If you were in NY, which you weren't, you would have seen very similar acts in the beginning weeks. I saw one guy shit in his hand and throw it at the police.
actually, i AM in NYC, and currently am studying at Pace University which is roughly three blocks from Zuccotti Park. I wasn't there to witness the initial weeks, though since the beginning of October I have been witness to the incident. As well, I don't spend my entire day at the protests seeing as I am a student so it is unreasonable to assume that because I haven't seen these mentioned events that I haven't been there. As well, you just said it yourself that that incident happened in the "beginning weeks". Was this picture taken recently? If so when? If not, why is it being posted (other than the obvious fact to try and prove that everyone represents this guy).
Shame on this guy and he doesn't represent the spirit of this movement.
I condemn this. These type of people are making OWS look bad.

The picture was made almost two years before OWS came into existence. A number of REICH WING web sites and blogs, including at least one KKK blog, are distributing this picture as if it is new and an act of OWS protesters.
