Hats off to the occupiers who went out into the storm, rolled up their sleeves, rallied allies and people of good will with skills and time. They are filling in a small gap but are doing an enormous job. They put our billionaire mayor, Michael "I think so therefore it is" Bloomberg, the idiot mayor who was ready to get the marathon going, running past homes and apartments occupied by thousands of frightened isolated people who had no water, light, or heat.

Michael was forced by embarrassment ( I think he has an adviser who meets him every two weeks to tell him what is reality) to launch a volunteer program to help the victims of the storm. No doubt it won't hold a candle next to Occupy's efforts.

I differ with the leadership of OWS on many things and I say so on this forum. When they are right, though they have to be given props.

Let this effort transform itself into real political power for the disenfranchised thousands in the devastated zones where Occupy is soldiering on.

Just goes to show the people of NY love him so they will have to deal with his "shortcomings".
