The federal judge ruled against us today. We have been served eviction papers stating that we must be gone by 12 noon on Tuesday. We ask for your support and solidarity.
Ray Neal Occupy New Haven
It was two pronged. First Amendment and a weird situation where the New Haven Green is actually owned by a colonial era Board of Proprietors. The judge ruled against us on first amendment grounds and didn't deal at all with the ownership issue. He felt that was a state court issue. With all that being said we got another stay till next week!!!!!
What was the argument that lead to the unfavorable ruling?
