On their way to Wash, occupiers were kick off a GH bus. What exactly were they doing?
Because so much of what we do and say is image, I wish you'd take a moment and think the next time you are choosing abbreviations.
As for the incident, probably nothing more then an individual with a thin skin and one thoughtless remark escalating to another. It should be obvious not everyone agrees with occupy, if all the 99% did change would have happened long ago.
I saw it that way too I think, funny the first time I read it.

No, when I first read your post, on their way to Wash, I got the mental image of a group going off to the rest room, to clean up. It was the first thing that popped into my head, as though the whole thing was over hygiene.

It's been a core part of the Liberal Arts curriculum since before Archimedes...just because a few weak Liberal Arts programs don't require advanced study in it doesn't mean it's not inherent to the Study...depends on if you want to do applied mathematics, which is probably what you are thinking of being an advocate of Technical Training for the purpose and goal of Education. There is Pure and Theoretical Physics as well as Math in the Liberal Arts, also. You can stop slurring Liberal Arts now.

Before Archimedes, even physics and chemistry were arts. And if I am not wrong, not long ago British universities awarded a B.A in subject like Math, physics, chem, bio.

Sounds like Greyhound tried to make it right. The driver was clearly in the wrong even if they have the right to remove people.

The driver was not clearly wrong. Maybe he was not following "CORPORATE" (laughing) policy but he is one of millions of examples of people that dont believe in the 99% and want you to stop putting your dirty hands in our pockets.

Clearly wrong from a perspective of using his bus driving job to make a statement. I don't disagree that clearly the 99% doesn't agree with the OWS movement. But it's still ridiculous to kick people off a bus because of their political feelings. I could understand of the Occupy SD people started to mic check on the bus, then yes boot them out. But it sounds like the driver was just grumpy and hates his job.
So,,,, it is OK for OWS individuals to have their policital feelings and take over a park or,,, take over a shipping port to deny others the right to the park or to ship goods but a bus driver can not have political feelings and take over the bus he is driving? SO you can decide but he cant? It is what YOU think is deserving. I understand.
Maybe I should clarify. I am not for taking over a park as a permanent place of residence nor for blocking/impeding other people. The traffic blocking of K Street was unnecessary here in DC and I did not support it at all. Nor do I agree with the blocking of the ports. If you want to protest, fine. But don't impact the rest of the 99% who are trying to make a living and live their lives peacefully.
I also don't agree with this "we have to wake up the 99%" feeling, either they are for it or they are not. Inconveniencing anyone only alienates and pushes them away for the cause. Not towards it.

At about 7:50pm thirteen Occupiers since named “The Amarillo 13” which were headed to Occupy Congress for the Jan. 17, 2012 event were kicked off the bus by the driver, Don Ainsworth. They apparently were boarding the bus and the driver noticed the Occupiers t-shirts and was rude to not only the Occupiers but also the other riders. They were on the bus for about 5 min. One of the Occupiers questioned why their bags were not loaded up and the bus driver told them to sit down and shut up. The driver then locked all the passengers including the Occupiers on the bus for over an hour until police arrived. The Occupiers and other riders were getting restless. The police arrived and attempted to negotiate with the driver to be reasonable to no avail. The driver only kicked off the thirteen occupiers and stated that “Occupy will not occupy this bus.” The driver also stated that Occupy was not wanted here or in D.C.
The Occupiers state that they were not doing anything to promote the removal. They were not doing any mic checks or being disorderly. The individuals paid upwards of $500 to ride Greyhound from California to D.C. Greyhound stated they will do the Occupiers a “favor” and allow them to board the next bus.

My point was,,,, OWS claims THEY are the 99% against the 1% and everyone is with them. Apparently OWS is wrong. 99% are not with the movement. I don't know how we got from Greyhound Buses to Torture, but is an interesting discussion. If it helps it's documented that the U.S. got valuable information from water boarding khalid sheikh mohammed (KSM). Information that helped stop other terrorist attacks. If this is true than we can say we got valuable information from water boarding KSM, Will we know for sure? Probably not.
