What the fuck was that? Did I just read a decent interpretation of the bill from Fox News? I'm used to their tv bullshit where O'Reilly just yells at people while Fox and Friends makes up propaganda and question Obama's birth certificate. This article is actually calming toward people who think it's some martial law power grab. Usually Fox likes to rattle the cages with propaganda. I was expecting to read something about a Nazi Germany style dictatorship from Fox News.

Quote from the bill (I capitalized the word OVER) -- "To require acceptance and priority performance of contracts or orders (other than contracts of employment) to promote the national defense OVER performance of any other contracts or orders, and to allocate materials, services, and facilities as deemed necessary or appropriate to promote the national defense, is delegated to the following agency heads:"

My problem is with the broad terms... even if it's a tweak on an order from 1994. The government has often used broad terms to do bad/illegal things. I'm always weary of powerful broad terms... we've seen broad terms to allow torture in the wars from the Bush administration... we've seen broad terms used to cover-up evidence of such torture from the Obama administration... we've seen broad terms used to bomb countries that didn't attack us... basically a lot of bad and illegal things have happened due to powerful broad terms. We'll see where this goes. Could be nothing. But it could be something too. After the patriot act I find it hard to trust the government on a lot of issues. Definitely too much power over people... and it's been growing fast since 2000.
