I like stewart...and watch him routinely...i do believe there is some truth to this however:

Its the reality of the situation we live in. A small segment will vote for Dems no matter what, a small group will vote for Repubs no matter what. Each one prefering not to hold their own accountable, and instead focus and attack the ones they didtnt vote for.
It leads to ZERO accountability, and a race to the bottom.
It's more like 40% demo's, 40% republicans, and 20% swing vote. However, I would suggest that the swing vote is of a younger age and more prone to vote democrat.
That is why it looks like Romney is going to fall just short this year even though Obama does not deserve four more years, although, Romney would not be my choice to replace Obama either.
