One thing I liked in the victory speech - he said - now that the election is over your work ( American People ) is not done - no - you need to continue working and not walk away. ( this is not verbatim )

But Democracy lost. The $2 billion dollars spent came mainly from the wealthy, their voices drowning out those of the common people. One man, one vote has been trampled again. Justice sheds her tears over the mangled body of Democracy.
Cons hold the House and enough to fuck the Senate. Same as it ever was. The Cons are our downfall.

We had to clear the Con threat first. But they still control the House, that's where the money comes from. And there are still enough in the Senate to block anything and everything.
We need to start a petition of shame, to force the WILL OF THE PEOPLE on Congress so that they are shamed into capitulation and compliance!!!

Whatever. Raise the minimum wage. Money talks BS walks.
Australia's minimum wage is $15.96 per hour or $606.40 per week. Generally, employees in the national system shouldn't get less than this.

Dems used to try to raise minimum wage during elections but they don't have to do that anymore. They can win anyway.
And is that a good wage ( livable or living wage ) in the down-under economy?
It would be a comfortable single-earner wage for someone just leaving school, sharing a house with friends, and owning one car.
I often survive on less than this wage, being now single and able to live quite comfortably off what I can grow, catch and cadge.
and this is the problem. It's fine that you can admit that you're out for yourselves and fuck everyone else, but what happens when you no longer have an underclass to bleed?
Well, for those of you who are going to graduate from college you better put your application in to fast food joints because you aren't going to have a decent job to go to -
It's going to be 4 more years of the same - golf, basketball, and vacations.
