Today while on a drive I listened to an article on NPR about OWS. The folks who were talking said things like "They have important things to say but they have no leader". Or "If you ask 500 OCW folks what they want you will get 500 different answers. Your problem is that it just is not clear what you want. You need to go on TV with a few leaders. You need to make a plan. To most people you are not a big deal. You must make it a big deal. Or no one will care.

That is because the media is a propaganda machine! How often do all media outlets portray an event or story like OWS in a negative way as u stated in your post. I thought the media was left leaning, which means that the OWS would receive positive coverage, except, all news coverage is in a negative light. Again, don't trust anything you see, read or hear by the media, they are not objective, they have marching orders come from the very top! Who sits on the top?

My point is that you folks must change. You must go on TV with a leader. You need someone! Holy Smokes! Just being downtown will not make folks care.
