You can hire, but its up to the people who make more than you, and have more connections than you, if that person needs to be fired.

Let the average guy hire em, let the elites decide if they need to be fired.

There is nothing that makes sense, in a representative democracy, that makes sense with that.

And dont give me the recall thing. Thats already been proven to be useless.

Quite frankly, if we keep going at the same game our parents were fooled into playing, we are going to end up even worse than this current corporate dump.

Now shut up and eat your mutant farm fish!!

Break up the newsliar corpoRAT/government serving press. No corpoRAT ownership of media. No crossplatform media companies. No or limited chains.

Instant runoff voting (would pull many more to the polls).

Referendum laws suggested by niphtrique http://occupywallst.org/forum/no-power-to-fire-politicians-is-not-control/#comment-911922 .

Fix our bogus corpoRAT counted electoral system. Personally I do not believe Walker won his recall election. Now they can cheat whenever they wish.

Each individual feels powerless. This isn't some business or sport team with one person holding the dictatorial power to hire and fire. The majority have the power, but don't accept the responsibility that comes with it. They fail to properly understand it and fail to use it.

We permit corruption when we fail to stay informed. When we let little bits of pork spending convince us that although politicians are corrupt, at least "our guy" gets us some of the crumbs from the pie.

I have proposed corrective referendums on every government level. Only with a referendum law the citizens can be in control of their government. In this way the citizens can introduce legislation, reject legislation or remove officials from their position. A referendum can solve some important issues more effectively than the political debate and bargaining. In Switzerland the citizens can overrule any decision made by politicians. If sufficient citizens support a referendum proposal then the referendum will be held. The government of Switzerland is obliged to act according to outcome of the referendum.
