This is Damon, the NLG legal observer arrested around 8am on Monday morning at Nassau and Pine for the "crime" of taking the name of a protester who was being arrested before me. Yes, I was wearing the bright green hat when this happened.

If anyone witnessed the arrest, or has photos or video, please contact the National Lawyers Guild at nlgnyc@igc.org or (212) 679-6018. Don't send video or pics in the first email, as you can assume email is not secure. But please please please let us know if you have anything.

Thank you all. We really appreciate everything you are doing!

-Damon

Unfortunately I don't have the information you seek.

As I'm sure you have noticed, there have been no responses to your post. This board has nothing to do with the actual Occupy Wall Street. Please use NLG's influence to persuade NYCGA to create a real OWS forum. Thanks.

In terms of criminal cops, our only power is public condemnation of the freedoms-of-America-hating pieces of garbage. No doubt they would have arrested and beaten up George Washington if they had been around back then. The NYPD is a disgrace to America.

Those cops on the streets are pawns, just following orders from above. It sounds like the mayor or police chief needs to be arrested from power if they are the ones ultimately responsible for these false arrests.

Both those who gave the order and those who carried it out need to be held accountable.

And our excuse, "You can't fight city hall."
