I'm sure that was a real even deal. Kind of an "make em offer he cant refuse" type of scenario. The global war on terror keeps expanding. While the USA at home keeps decaying.

Why did we re-elect a Congress by a 90% rate, when their approval rate is 9%?

Seems to me the entire system is rigged.

And the Duopoly marches on.......

The relationship between approval ratings and re-elections would only be significant if the approval ratings were confined to the approval of voters pertaining to their individual elected candidate. A low approval of over 500 politicians is meaningless when the low approval comes from those who never could have voted for more than the one who represents them. Their disapproval of members they couldn't vote for doesn't speak to the approval they have for their own elected representative. That's why re-election has nothing to do with collective approval ratings.

hen the low approval comes from those who never could have voted for more than the one who represents them.

3 (2 senators and 1 representative)

but your point stands.

seems we're eager to go along with blame the others

Matt?

While you were gone for while, I missed your posts of Moment of Clarity.

I tried to uphold the wonders of Lee Camp.

He's "rebranded" his format you know.

I suppose I should have put Lee Camp in the title though.

No one seems to know what MOC stands for.

Actually, my error was in refering to over 500 politicians when the subject had only pertained to the Congress, not the Senate.

Hmmm, thats an interesting take. I hadnt thought of that before. Thanks.

WASHINGTON, Feb 22 (Reuters) - The Pentagon has deployed about 100 troops to the West African nation of Niger to conduct unmanned reconnaissance flights over Mali and share intelligence with French forces fighting al Qaeda-affiliated militants, President Barack Obama told Congress on Friday.

al kidya is everywhere we want to be

had no idea it was in Niger

Is it really necessary to make such a racist remark about Obama. I'm surprised you haven't been banned.

They forget that this had to go to the 4th circuit first. But hey they passed it anyway!!! Means no laws!

Wonder who sold their sole in Niger to let this through.

[-] 5 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

You did.

You sold your "sole".

You should be more worried about who exactly bought it and for what motive.

Sorry, I forgot, you don't understand the importance of motive.

[+] -4 points by john32 (-272) from Pittsburgh, PA 11 years ago

Sorry shooz........... "soul"

For what motive? Pretty obvious isn't it? Exploitation of a poor countries resources eventually. We're picking up the land for staging points that will make it all the easier.

[-] 4 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Things are never what they seem.

You should know that by now.

BTW: I was hoping you would be a little more exact.

Quit talking to me...seriously...you and VQ can go have your fun with each other...i don't want to talk to either of you. No time for partisan hacks...especially ones that create 20 screen names...get on here and talk to themselves...and downvote anyone they don't like to oblivion with their 20 screen names.

[-] 5 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Aww. Quit posting on a public forum then.

I just expect you answer the questions you beg.

And you just don't, but if you want to go on thinking everything is what it seems to be, I can't stop you.

But I will continue to question you.

Expect it.

Are you pissed because this is happening under Obama's watch? Wake the f'k up.

[-] 6 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I'm not the one throwing a fit. You are.

I'm not the one blaming it on a politician. You are.

I answered your question. Which is more respect than you've given given me.

Wake the FUCK up yourself.

Oil corporations have been in Niger for a long time now.

Whats your stance on our new base in Niger? More imperialism?

[-] 4 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I think it's a situation far more complicated than anyone here, or at Huffpost really knows.

That being said, I don't like the idea, at least at my current information level.

Imperialism?

An over and misused term, but in that context, they are protecting the imperialism that is already there.

"I'm not the one blaming it on a politician. You are."

Nothing i brought up mentioned Obama at all...nothing. You get your f'n panties in a twist when truthful information like this is posted because it's under your man Obama's watch...so you feel it necessary to overcompensate and try to downplay anything that happens......thats why i asked you about Obama. You'd be shitting bricks if this was occurring if a repub was in office.

You're a double standard partisan hack....that will lie to try to promote your own view point....that's why i don't want to talk to you....you're a waste of time. With the comments you leave me I can only imagine the feeling is mutual...so why the hell do you keep spamming my posts? Go annoy someone else.

[-] 3 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Is this dishonestjohn week?

Someone should have sent out a memo.

Here's what you said.

" this is happening under Obama's watch"

Read what i wrote before making an idiot of yourself.

[-] 3 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Then why are you still throwing a fit?

Panties too tight?

[-] -1 points by john32 (-272) from Pittsburgh, PA 11 years ago

later

have fun jumping on your other screen names and down voting people

or abusing your mod abilities and slamming people who disagree with you by stripping hundreds of points from them. Very democratic of you.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I don't do any of those things, nor have I ever done them.

Is that the excuse you use to do them yourself?

[-] -3 points by john32 (-272) from Pittsburgh, PA 11 years ago

Pretty timid denial for those accusations i just threw at you. I would have expected a little outrage from someone who didn't actually do those things.

[-] -2 points by OTP (-203) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Some people give politicians as much room as they want, as long as they voted for them.

The realization that we voted for a horrendous leader would then mean that we are partly to blame.

Some people dont take blame too well.

[-] -3 points by freakzilla (-161) from Detroit, MI 11 years ago

I just went to moveon.org and searched for "drones".

"Sorry, but nothing matched your search criteria. Please try again with some different keywords."

pathetic

[-] -2 points by OTP (-203) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

The government has no respect for sovereignty anymore. Not overseas, and not here with us. A good point on morning joe this morning: What would happen if Mexico flew some drones in Dallas and dropped a bomb because they deemed someone there a threat to Mexico?

I think its obvious. And we are doing it all over the place. Sowing our own seeds of destruction.
