For the first (and quite possibly the last) time in my life, I'd agree with Gingrich. I'd say we've already done the best we can to rebuild and democratize Afghanistan, and whether it worked or not there hasn't really been much progress over the past several years. I'd be happy to start drawing down our forces and handing things to the Afghans the way we did to al-Maliki's government in Iraq.
He's right.but he's only doing it to gain political points.
No, he's not doing it for "political points". He commented on it reminding everyone how worthless our efforts are over there.
If you think the presidents appology had merit think again. We need to get out and get out now - no ifs, ands or buts.
I'm with BlackSun on this. Gingrich is actually right about Afghanistan, but there's no way that I'm going to believe that anything coming out of his mouth is anything more than a ploy to look good.
Obama likes to apologize. He probably had a hard on while he was doing it. And yes we do need to get out of there.
