Government creates weapons to scatter protesters using freedom of speech... Brags about how awesome it is on the history channel.

This is what the majority of politicians in the government thinks of us. This is how the DoD thinks of us. This is how homeland security thinks of us.
The first amendment is the first amendment for a reason!
The people will just need to develop their own Active Denial System. Deny them our taxes, deny them our purchase of products from companies that support the military, and deny them our votes for the representatives that continue to fund this never ending war on terror.
I'll second that! Ubuntu isn't half bad for a free OS. You can buy a used car and pay lower taxes on it. You can decide to cut back your cable. You can cut corners until you feel like you have invented the wheel! Really someone needs to write a book, "How to become worthless to corporate America and still survive!" We still have to eat but we can buy lots at local grocers and farmers markets. We can support the Salvation Army and wear "recycled" clothes. Everyone seems to think I want to be worth more. I'm pissed off, I want to be worth less, worthless even. The race to the bottom has got to start somewhere! Seriously don't like the system. Fight back in a way they can understand, affect everyone's bottomline.
Thing is - they are already ruining everyone's bottom line even their own - it just has not fully caught up with them yet. Greed is insane and it is unreasoning.
That is why it is going to take the sane in society to save them from themselves while at the same time saving civilization.
I'm not sure civilization is worth saving at this point. Lives yes, feed the world, yes. But modern civilization is such a racket. I'm not sure we wouldn't all be better off without a lot of modern conveniences. I'm questioning the crap we've been so sold on. Its not worth the cost to families, to workers, to our health. Its just a sham that we are better off.
Lets not toss the Baby out with the Bathwater. Let us instead toss out the criminals with their garbage. We have much that is good if it is managed properly. By "The People" not the corporations.

I swear I'm one of the few. The pro-war agenda has gone from full republican support to full democrat support. What has happened in the democratic party is really sad and pathetic. They went from wanting to oust a president because he was attacking countries that didn't attack us to supporting a president for attacking countries that didn't attack us.
...and the democrats never impeached Bush back when they had a democratic majority congress either... sad sad times.

I have before. Then a bunch of democrats accuse me of being a GOP supporter for some reason. Which is hilarious because during the Bush administration the GOP supporters called me a crazy liberal when I opposed their warmonger president. I want to go back to the days where I would have just been called a hippie for opposing the wars. Even though I'm not a hippie. But I like their style. That whole peace thing they talk about... sounds awesome.
