People starting coopts are beneficial to just about the entire community. It sets a great example for those who are sick of their bosses bullshit.
It also sets a great example of people doing things. Not just talking about it. We have WAY too many talkers and not enough doers.
Its also a great learning curve for most people. Starting a business is the easy part, almost anyone can do it. 95% of them cant stay open longer than 5 years. Its very very tough.
There are a group of three from Occupy Tampa that have started their own thing. Im not sure exactly how its going, but Im sure they are learning a lot. That alone makes it worth it in the long run.
