Forum Post: Need advice on how to organize march/petition in support of U

Hi - I'm 60 year old woman in a major city. I'm new to Facebook, etc but I have a huge email list of neighbors. I want to organize a 2 hour event in a park (with a permit) to sign a petition to our leaders saying we are in solidarity with you. This event would be popular with busy families who would probably like to peacefully demonstrate for about 2 hours the limit. Any general advice on how to organize this without getting hundreds of emails back or hundreds or even thousands of comments on my own Facebook page?
