Maybe, but NOT the other way around. All people are free to endorse whoever and whatever they want, that does not say anything about who or what they endorse.

But really, you're just trying to discredit us in any way you can, bringing in Nazis and Communists only shows your desparation, it's NOT working, and for the record and the millionth time, OWS does not support any agency, company, political party, or person.

Nazis and communist support anything that is antagonistic to the status quo.

So if I was a Nazi, and I endorse the United States government, the U.S. would be a communist country?

Please remove head from anus.

Many people Ive met at these protest are sympathetic toward communism and socialism. What they dont realize is Corporatism, Socialism, Fascism, and Communism are essentially the same world view, with slight variations.

David Duke: “The Tea Party movement is a great sign that the people are finally waking up.”

the real question is, did the tea party welcome the support of David Duke?

OWS Response: Hmm.... Fascinating. The American Nazi Party has just taken up the call to arms from #occupywallst. Well, we'll take it. Welcome comrades ^_^

Link to the OWS response.

[-] 1 points by thebeastchasingitstail (1912) 12 years ago

And also -

"David Duke has claimed that thousands of Tea Party movement activists have urged him to run for president in 2012 and he is seriously considering entering the Republican Party primaries."

"Dick Armey and other Tea Party leaders have not only refused to disavow the racism -- they have denied it."

http://edition.cnn.com/2010/OPINION/07/16/tea.party.resolution/?fbid=gN5LJj4Sge6

John Lewis says he was spit on and called the n word at a Tea Party demonstration but because Breitbart and his minions scream that it never happened, it never did.

Now they use a video of Rep Lewis to discredit OWS. The Fox right wing propaganda machine is fuckin scary.

[-] 1 points by BrainC (400) from Austin, TX 12 years ago

video or it didn't happen.

I can say the same thing about the left wing CNN propaganda machine.

You know how to make someone an alcoholic? Accuse them of it. If they admit it, well, they admit it. If they deny it, they are in denial.

Well, as far as John Lewis goes and my comment about Breitbart - either Lewis is a credible, respected Congressperson & vet of the Civil Rights movement or he's a race -baiting, non-respectable liar.

He can't be both, except in Breitbart-world where Lewis has become an icon for whatever happens to suit Breitbart on any given day.

And as for the CNN article, CNN is only reporting what Benjamin Jealous of the NAACP is saying. So it's Jealous saying that Duke said...bla bla and Dick Armey said...bla bla. I agree with you, it may not be true, but in this case seems to be Jealous's credibility that is on the line, not CNN. Just sayin. It's up to you to consider Jealous a credible source or not. I don't consider CNN left wing either. Erin Burnett spoke against OWS from a perch at CNN didn't she?

I mean it is just interesting, Fox gets accused of promoting one viewpoint because they do promote one viewpoint. MSNBC puts a few left wing opionators on in the evening hours and MSNBC gets called left wing, ignoring the line-up of dirty hippies (sarc) they have on in the AM like Joe Scarborough & Pat Buchanan & that young guy and Mika Brezinski who is the daughter of a democrat but certainly not left wing.

And CNN - what makes them left wing? Anderson Cooper? Funny. The Fox-Breitbart machine is unparalleled. There really is no left wing equivalent of that.

I have had this conversation before on these forums. People that agree with the view points do not see them as bias. People that disagree see them as bias.

I would definitely say that FOX pushes a conservative/Republican view point, no doubt. They are right-wing bias. And what little I see of CNN and MSNBC, I believe they push a liberal/Democratic point of view. They are left-wing bias.

I tend to avoid both for this reason. Both sides (FOX/MSNBC) nit pick their commentaries for the most shock value against the other side. Both pull sound bites and take statements out of context for their own benefit.

We're on the same page there. I got rid of cable TV a long time ago. I occasionally watch Maddow online but not all the time.

I prefer getting my news on the web & if I see that she or some other "personality" interviewed someone interesting I'll tune in.

Maddow's interviews are not that in-depth usually anyway. That's about the extent of my interest in the cable talking heads.

I don't go to that site, where did they get the quote from? Or is that what the blogger/owner of occupyr is saying? that site is not "official" anything, just some webmaster trying to profit

[-] 1 points by BrainC (400) from Austin, TX 12 years ago

I agree it is not official. and going back to look at it closer, I think it is a forum post, so it could be anyone.

Nazi's? Communists? Same thing, different colors. We should be focusing on OBAMA! WHY DO WE LET HIM OFF THE HOOK? Free enterprise is not the problem - it's the answer to the current problems! What we have now is corporate fascism, not free enterprise. The original OWM protest was started as a backlash against the New World Order, the Federal Reserve, Obama's banker bailouts, monopolistic control and corporate person-hood. It's obvious that the Creation of a New World Order tops the list of the Reserve's near future priorities, and that the Obama Administration, to rub salt into the wound, far from bringing those financial swindlers to justice, have hired their number one hit man, Ben 'New World Order' Bernanke - the boss of the privately owned Federal Reserve - as its financial advisor! And lets be under no illusion where Bernanke's affiliations lie: On August 25, 2006, he made a presentation to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s 30th Annual Economic Symposium. The title of Bernanke’s presentation: “Global Economic Integration: What’s New and What’s Not.”. In which he depicts global economic integration as an exclusively technology-driven process. Thus the section entitled “A Short History of Global Economic Integration” which traces the process in glowing terms to the Romans who 'unified their far-flung empire through an extensive transportation network and a common language, legal system, and currency.' It's interesting to note, that the Roman word fasci is where the word fascist comes from. 'It was a symbol used widely in the Roman Empire and it consists of rods bound together around an axe. This axe is the origin of the term Axis Powers for the fascist countries in the Second World War. The symbolism is of people and countries bound together under a common centralised dictatorship.' (romanfasci.blogspot.com/). Obama is a fascist. SMASH THE PATRIOT ACT!
