Vote for people who stand for what you believe in, not a party line.

"that doesn't make any sense"

said people addicted to party allegiance.

Ms. Problem Solver

Would you please tell us when you had your so called come to Jesus moment with Occupi. Please go into as much detail as possible.

[-] 1 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 11 years ago

The republicans' and democrats' supporters remind me of Chicago Bears and Cubs fans.

Every year the Cubs lose, so do the Bears. But they're still their favorite teams. This is okay in baseball and football. It doesn't work for people with power for war, the economy, and the legislative process.

Really? You wouldn't be planning to be a card carrying member of this single party would you? Go ahead, try telling people what to do in that situation.

[-] 1 points by OTP (-203) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Instead of "Single Party" you may want to call it No Party.

At home - you ever manage to solve a problem yet?

[-] 1 points by quantumystic (1710) from Memphis, TN 11 years ago

Ehhh no thanks. That leads to some ugly things. What we need to to is abolish political parties. Instead replace them with workers unions. Form coalition governments with direct democratic, judicial, and technocratic checks and balances. An economy based around co-operatives, meritocracy, social justice, and work place democracy.

[-] 0 points by auargent (-600) 11 years ago

union memebership in the usa is decling, the lowest since the first quarter of the 20th century. about 11% of a working people belong to a union

[-] 2 points by quantumystic (1710) from Memphis, TN 11 years ago

Yeah, I know it goes hand in hand with declining wages, benefits, and work security.

[-] 0 points by DeathsHead1 (-111) 11 years ago

I was studying Advanced Mathematics for Engineers at Arizona in 1986. Partial Differential EQ and equations of complex variables were a challenge. I had an intuitive leap for a proof on an exam and jumped to an intermediate from where the answer was obvious.

The professor gave no credit for the problem and I challenged the grade. He asked me to show him how I got to that middle place. I asked back; 'isn't it obvious?'

He said: 'not to me!'

I got no credit for that solution. But I did end up getting an A for the class.

Keep at it. You'll get it right some day.

Social skills just assuage the feelings of the clowns who run [or would run] the circus and facilitates rationalizations of incompetence.

  • They need to face the hard truth, before real solutions will be possible.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Hear Hear - no parties People - Not a single one. YAY

[-] -3 points by auargent (-600) 11 years ago

even if there were no "political" parties, there would still be the haves and and have nots. it may be fiction, but there's a lot of truth to it,....so go (re) read Animal Farm.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

There will always be the haves and have-nots - but that does not mean that we need to have people homeless or hungry or without good medical care or access to the best schooling. Being a have not does not have to be a living hell on earth.

[-] -3 points by auargent (-600) 11 years ago

ebt cards, medicaid, section 8 housing, welfare. people are ot starving , not getting medical help, or are homeless unless they choose not avail themselves of the govt services.

Did you know that if you keep repeating a lie it is still a lie.And also if you keep repeating a half truth it is still a whole lie.

[+] -4 points by auargent (-600) 11 years ago

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

[-] -2 points by auargent (-600) 11 years ago

I know reality, i live it,.....you live in the fantasyland of ows.

[-] 1 points by Kavatz (464) from Edmonton, AB 11 years ago

Ya man, you seem to be wasting space here. Maybe focus more on reading. Try not posting for a month. Make it a personal rule - this will also serve to build discipline.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

lol - you forgot(?) to tell him/her to think about material they have read during that month?

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

You are the one not facing reality.

You obviously have nothing to offer here - why don't ya just go away.
