Forum Post: MORE OUTREACH IS NEEDED

How much outreach has been done? Have those who helped organize the protest at the WTO in Seattle been contacted? Are David Korten and Yes! magazine on board? What do those at Moveon.org think? Has any effort been made to include Burners, who embrace counter culture ideas and create barter communities in the desert every year? Should the occupation not be like Burning Man? A giant celebration of Art, Music, Life, and Humanity? We cannot be isolating and only appeal to young radicals. The majority of Americans are fed up with the Corporate State. We must include families, grandparents, professors, Native Americans, : a cornucopia of Americans. All the strands must be brought together.

Feel free to contact organizations and groups. There is a core team trying to handle many different tasks. We can provide you with press releases or other info if you would like to take this on. Let us know - email any one of us. My email is arcadie@occupywallst.org

As both an outreach tool and entertainment, you guys should project the documentary, "Inside Job" onto a sheet in the park just after sunset (when it's not raining, of course). Would you need a permit for that sort of thing?

Burners are mostly self centered ego addicts.. only interested in how "Their Burn Went" and how many times they had sex and ate acid... that being said I find it abominable that we can get 60 thousand people to drag all their Art and Gear and Drugs all the way to Blackrock..... But know one goes to protests.. All my friends are at BM right now... : (

I think the idea of it being a celebration of art, music, life, and humanity is a great idea. If we collect ourselves and go to wall street with the idea of changing the nation in the forefront of our mind, but act upon it by using art, music, life and humanity, it will be easier to access by more people. Then it will be a revolution of thought rather than a revolution of violence.
