While I commend all of the protesters that have stood up publicly to condemn the greed and arrogance of the 1%, now I feel that a new course of action is warranted.
I am not a financial whiz by any means but with 97% of the 401k and IRA funds controlled by brokerages that fuel Wall Street I feel that this is the Achilles Heel of the 1%. We are allowing them to manipulate OUR money to make themselves richer.
Not having paid much attention to my IRA, except to see it drop, the OWS movement has caused me to educate myself about Self Directed IRA accounts.
This is not an ad or any kind of promotion but I hope to be able to move my money out of Wall Street and into a socially responsible non profit organization.
Maybe I won't make as much but I will feel better about how my money is used, and doing my bit to stick it to Wall Street and the 1% will also feel good
I don't want to stick it to anybody, but less risk and more control of our own funds makes more sense.
take all money out of all markets, convert to gold, tax revolt 2012..Stop buying..take all money out of big banks..watch the money masters squirm..
