Ms is one of the taker states. As you suggest this will aggravate that reality.

Could this be a reaction to their being recently "forced" to ban slavery?

[-] 2 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

Perhaps, but certainly related to a desire to not give any money/opportunity to poor or minorities.

One thing really funny about the repubs um corpoRATists in office forcing the sequester to go forward is - their own states will be the hardest hit when federal money is not sent out to support them anymore ( during sequestration ). Their constituents ought-a love that.

Sequester?

Kind of off subject here, but my curiosity now runs towards who is lobbying for it?

There's lots of lobbying against it and I can't find info on who's for it.

Did you watch the state of the union address? Notice all of the butts that seemed to be glued to their chairs? Most notably Boner as he was sitting in plain view behind Obummer through the whole address. It was basically the repub side that was firmly glued in place/sitting - didn't even matter what was being said at the time - they were not gonna show any approval on any thing.

Nov 26, 2008 – In the 2008 Presidential election, the state of Mississippi remained a very red state–no surprise there. But the color of the state in the bicolor ...

I'm sorry, but at this point, I'm pretty much ignoring that part of the circus.

The (R)epelican'ts know they own the States and that's why they are doing what they are............sitting, waiting and refusing to do their federal jobs.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Well I thought it funny as they want more federal support but are currently making sure that the support they receive now will be cut during the sequester.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

The States will "forced" to react by cutting services.

Exactly the GOP agenda.

Dismantling Democracy one State at a time, can go wholesale.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

And it is only the blind who can not see who is forcing this road.

I'm well aware of the puppet, it's who's pulling the strings on this one can't seem to find.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Same puppet masters = the corpoRATions and the wealthy who are lost in Greed. Their goal is the same = Profits at any cost - even unto death.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Of course it is, but which ones exactly?

They have remained hidden, so far.

It could be an overall push to legitimatize ALEC legislation.

The pertinent question is what and who's money is backing the sequestration?

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

ALEC/Koch is a pretty obvious connection for one of the conspiratorial groups.

How about Pete Peterson?

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

That sure wouldn't surprise me, but still, finding proof of the tie in has proven fruitless.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

How about that gambling dude and all his money to the mittens campaign?

How about all of the foreign corpoRATions that get legal status as people?

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Rep. Jerry R. Turner has past ties with ALEC. http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Mississippi_ALEC_Politicians

There are so many nasty, nasty people arrayed against the 99%, it's hard to keep up.

Thanks for another one.

[-] 0 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Ya, I got to a point that I forgot what the hell I was looking for. I don't have time to really go into it today.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Yep. Sometimes you just have to do what living needs you to do.

But MAN there's a lot of assholes out there fighting against the 99%.

[-] 0 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Yes, yes there are.

That's very nice and I hope it pans out, but how does Ms. treat adults with HIV?

[-] -1 points by blacksad (-58) 11 years ago

Evidently they are trying to cure them.
