Forum Post: Michigan GOP: Not Finished With Tyranny Yet.

Posted 11 years ago on Dec. 13, 2012, 10:24 a.m. EST by shoozTroll (17632)
This content is user submitted and not an official statement

Not happy with imposing tyranny on Unions, they now want tyranny over vaginas!!

http://www.addictinginfo.org/2012/12/12/michigan-senate-passes-massive-anti-abortion-bill/

Must I remind, that this is a lame duck session and this stuff was NOT on the ballot?

I say the Kochs are angry about losing their "right" to emergency managers to the public vote.

The Patriarchs don't want to let people make any decisions for themselves. They don't know the difference between moral & ethical Questions and Law that is for public order, business law, common law, civil law, case law..... So they want to make the Ethical Questions for you.

But they get in Congress and all of the sudden they forget what ethics and conflict of interest is.

Even today they won't really examine principals, reasons,... As the State and Federal Budgets grow to dangerous levels of risk ....1) They still want to export our army around the world 2) Start Foreign Wars 3) Give away aid like military aid to dictators & tyrannts

But no, they don't want to fund schools, provide heating for schools, provide mental health facitlites, provide drug treatment programs, provide jobs training programs, help fight for wages and jobs.

If you have a politician, then you got a Liar, an actor, a deal maker, a pontificator, ... someone who wants to tell you how to live and what to do with your Vagina.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Fund?

(R)epelican'ts only "fund" corporate tax breaks for their buddies.

Now they are trying to force a contract with the Koch brothers toilet paper corporation.

http://www.eclectablog.com/2013/01/in-michigan-thanks-to-republicans-its-byotp-for-school-kids-bring-your-own-toilet-paper.html

[-] 2 points by Middleaged (5140) 11 years ago

Ah Contrair, Mon Frair. GOPs fund:

1) Military Training for Tyrants & their Armies
2) Foreign Bases Overseas in over 140 countries.
3) NATO Secret Armies in Europe Responsible for Right Wing Extremist Terror Attacks ... staged to blame on Left Wing Terror.
4) Fraudulent War in Iraq, that Destroyed millions of families, homes, businesses, water, food, electricity, resulted in rape & murder, cause millions to flee their homes, created unsafe refugee camps, enamed stealing from the national Museum, destroyed the currency & economy for decades.
5) Start Foreign Wars probably spending like $3 Trillion, creating huge mrecenary forces, trained kids to be killers, created a new generation of killing in our culture...

Sorry kind of a Rant.

6) GOP Funds corporations engaged in RICO Violations under the USC Title 18 ... GOP is Aiding and Abetting the Conspiracy of FInancial Fraud, WMD in Iraq, Sub-Prime Mortgage Fraud, 2008 Financial Crisis.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

'N' that's why schools in Pontiac can't have toilet paper.

[-] 1 points by Middleaged (5140) 11 years ago

Yeah, why would any one vote GOP, unless they were demumanized already into believing in any war, any where, any how, for any reason, with any kind of ordinance, bomb, land mines, depleted uranium materials, .... and with no regard for the cost of war.

Matter of fact why would anyone vote for the democrats either since they are mostly mindless puppets approving funding for wars, and other give aways to corporations and wealthy... No one is that dumb that they sit in congress and don't understand that they are part of the war machine that is killing, teaching killing, and dehumanizing people.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

So ignore the States then?

I don't think so.

It's the Koch brothers way.

Since you likely didn't read any of it, here's the whole thing.

http://www.eclectablog.com/

[-] 1 points by Middleaged (5140) 11 years ago

Well, don't let my angst turn you off. I've seen some about the Koch bros before. I had something I wanted to work on and just came back.

I just am sort of fixated on the lack of responsiblity in congress and the executive office... I'm I keep adding up the mistake and lack of moral & ethical principals... it goes on and on. Exeuctives all over the USA point to some fall guy for all the problems ... while they are actually, directly enablers of all that we inherit.

Like inheriting pension programs or retirement programs that get terminated in front of everyone ... the consensus is that if a company got taken over and the pensions were cashed in by the new company ... well it is too complicated to fix the old business ... and they must deserve to have the pensions cashed out due to high expenses.

You saw the news on GM and Adelphi ... the rension or retirement cashed in as part of the GM Bailout ... Now here are the GM Executive Bonuses for getting a bail out for driving the company in the ground. No responsiblity. I still contend that executive bonuses are Illegal if the Comapny needed a bail out.

http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20130128/AUTO0103/301280422

Checkout the law, everyone, a contract is only valid if it is Legal. How can we allow these RICO Violations ... the company loses money, they can't pay bonuses!

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

"Cashing out" pensions was one of the main reasons Social Security was enacted.

I've called for RICO to be applied to both major parties, but in the meantime the (R)epelican'ts are VERY busy in their ALEC relationship.

The key to destroying our nation lies within the States.

http://www.politicususa.com/republican-class-war-state-tax-hikes-poor-fund-tax-cuts-rich.html

As goes the States, so goes the Nation.

[-] 2 points by Middleaged (5140) 11 years ago

wow, ever see how a disease eats at a tree? That is like Repubs, ALEC, and Koch Bros.

Good article. I have to dig into in and pass it to someone.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Back to pension funding.

FoMoCo is handing out record profit sharing checks and on the same day, this little fact comes out.

http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20130129/AUTO0102/301290404/Ford-worldwide-pension-deficit-jumps-18-7-billion?odyssey=mod|newswell|text|FRONTPAGE|s

[-] 1 points by Middleaged (5140) 11 years ago

Yes, what a strategy. Placate the masses. Give babbles to the small folks. Looks like a strategy of attrition to wear down workers. keep pressure on the benefits through whining about down turns.

Are they now shorting foreign workers harder than US workers? Sounds like it.

[-] 1 points by owsarmy (271) 11 years ago

Unbelievable. They have no scruples.

[-] 1 points by Middleaged (5140) 11 years ago

Its a Game, a Negotiation. They negotiate with Unions and for government handouts. So they throw up obsticals, make the funding confusing, make the budget look stretched out, make revenues look weak, profits low,... The problem is if you are on the other side of the negotiation you think they are serious and earnest.

What was that phrase, "I won't be here when it crashes" or "I'll be gone when it crashes". The payoff is short term bonuses and promotions... In the long term, looks like many generous retirement packages are unsustainable if they are paying in the over the $100K range like in Chicago or Illinios.... See I blame executives for not being earnest or truthful if they negotiate salaries and retirements that are unstustainable. And the same people want to blame the Union for high compensation packages. Of course we are way past that now, except the Pension Guarentee Fund is supported by the taxpayer through the Federal Budget.

[-] 1 points by owsarmy (271) 11 years ago

I stand with the worker, the union, the 99%.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

It's all about "maximizing shareholder value" and most workers don't hold a whole lot of "preferred" shares, and retirees are cashing in anyway...........Bad for shareholder value

[-] -2 points by BIGBRUISER (-4) 11 years ago

Stop with the conspiracy theories. Go watch Alex Jones.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Emergency managers might be a conspiracy, but they are no theory.

Alex has nothing much to say about (R)epelican'ts though, now that Bush is out of office.

It's more the kind of place you belong.

NOTHING in this thread is a theory.

More lies and tyranny in Michigan............

In the 8 years that Granholm was Governor, any attept she made at raising taxes was met by incredible (ALEC) resistance.

Now that Snyder has raised taxes on the elderly, he's going after the poor too, with tax hikes to fees and the price of gas.

Amway founder and billionare DeVos who lost to Granholm is constantly appearing in the background, informing Snyder.

So much for the "self made" business nerd image of Snyder.

He's nothing more than another Koch whore.

http://www.eclectablog.com/2013/01/governor-snyder-wants-us-all-to-just-get-along-and-vote-for-his-tax-increases-to-fix-roads.html

Please remember that is Engler, the Gov. before Granholm that ruined the tax base that used to pave our roads, and the (R)epelican'ts refused to budge for Granholm, to get them paved during her tenure.

These people are pure "evil".

[-] 2 points by owsarmy (271) 11 years ago

Every enemy of the 99% must be outed and retired. Good post.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

After a similar issue with the Detroit Fire Department, it's good to know (R)epelicant's don't want to pay to help you clean your ass.

At least until they can "secure" a contract with Northern ( A "member" of the Koch conglomerate)

http://www.eclectablog.com/2013/01/in-michigan-thanks-to-republicans-its-byotp-for-school-kids-bring-your-own-toilet-paper.html

[-] 1 points by owsarmy (271) 11 years ago

What a joke.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

It won't be a joke when Snyder figures out a way to "install" an emergency manager.

this is just pressure on a city that's been hurting for some time now, mostly at the hands of the (R)epelican'ts.

[-] 2 points by owsarmy (271) 11 years ago

I am familiar with the difficulties there. And repubs are engaged in similar activities all over the country. I see a bit of info here about these damaging efforts some in msm. But not enough. We beat back the worst vote suppression, we now have republicans trying to manipulate the already unfair electoral college. So the right to work, public union busting, & city mgr laws ae all part of the ALEC/republican strategy to minimize democratic votes/support etc. You are right to push these issues. Good luck. You have support here despite the push back. Your efforts are in line with Occupy ideals.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I have been trying to present an accurate picture of what is ongoing in the state of Michigan.

The sad part is the lack of comment, so I thank you for yours.

Here's another example of how far off base things are getting.

They've come up with a brand new racist dog whistle.

The concept of the "ethnically challenged."

http://www.eclectablog.com/2013/02/audio-speaker-at-americans-for-prosperity-workshop-refers-to-ethnically-challenged-charter-school-students.html

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Don't forget all the rest of the lies.

Here's the latest admission, from the mouth of a horses ass.

You can tell hchc that it's not the 99% who are asses it's the 1%.

http://www.eclectablog.com/2013/01/snyder-admits-making-michigan-a-right-to-work-state-was-never-about-creating-jobs.html

No, I'll hunt down a thread.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

He doesn't care much for me, so I guess it was rhetorical anyway.

Now back to the regularly scheduled distractions as the real tyranny strengthens.

[-] 0 points by OTP (-203) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Why do the people allow things like this to happen?

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

It's already happened in Florida, why don't you tell us all?

How long have they lied about "right to work" there?

We have FLAKESnews here in Michigan too, as if you didn't know, and it plays a rather LARGE roll in the dissemination of misinformation.

[-] 0 points by OTP (-203) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

The people are fooled by Fox News?

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Bravo.

Not answering questions and pretending ignorance IS your forte.

It's all you really do.

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

They don't. They fight. It's a little hard when you have a bunch of shit come down about RTW that has the ALEC seal of approval on it. It is rather difficult to combat when you are facing a bunch of folk that spend all their time focused on anti-union shit.

Unions rock. There are always going to be morons. Can't be helped. That said, public and private unions are good for the people. Good for economics. Just all around beneficial.

[-] 0 points by OTP (-203) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

12k people is a nice showing, (I believe that was the biggest protest there) but its not nearly enough.

Metro Detroit has over 4 million people in it. 1% of the population showing up would be 40k. As it stood, about .25% of the population there decided to make a stand.

Thats just not going to cut it. The people are not doing enough. Those 12k people who showed up should be commended. The other 99.75% of the population who didnt show need to be addressed.

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

The rest are living hand to mouth.

If you go back and look at every movement then you find that it is, by and large, led by the middle class. In the 60s, it was mostly white middle class males, the Civil Rights movement was mostly middle class African Americans, the women's movement was mostly white middle class women, the Gay Right's movement was mostly middle class.

Everyone under that is living hand to mouth. This is how so many countries have tyrants that last entirely too long. If you are living hand to mouth then you cannot fight.

[-] 0 points by OTP (-203) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Political protesting takes no money.

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Then I guess you would need to make their needs your needs.

Are you familiar with Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs? http://www.simplypsychology.org/maslow.html

[-] 0 points by OTP (-203) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

What the people are up against is quite easy to conquer- if you have the numbers. Without numbers, there is no hope.

As far as the demographics, we all know Detroit is rough. But Im not sure where the correlation comes in with Maslows, because political protesting could be from anger about the basic level, or looking for fullfilllment which would be a higher level.

[-] 0 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

You're still trying to think on your terms. You can't do that. Flip sides for a minute.

Basic needs must be met first.

[-] 0 points by OTP (-203) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

I am familiar with it, but what needs are you speaking of?

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

First you have to realize what you are up against. http://truth-out.org/news/item/13738-new-emergency-financial-manager-law-is-more-of-the-same

because they just went right around it and kicked it out again.

Then you have to look at the demographics. http://www.mlive.com/news/detroit/index.ssf/2012/09/detroit_has_half_the_median_in.html

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

All gonna be reversed/repealed asap. Temporary victory. Backlash coming.

[-] -1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

That's hard to believe considering the level of support for tyranny here on the forum.

Most of the folks in Michigan are prepping for Christmas, not an attack reason, freedom, liberty and democracy.

[-] 3 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

You're right it is hard to believe. This lame duck, middle of the night, ramming through, w/ police protection during the distracting holiday season tactic is discouraging.

But I believe we are preparing our counterattack, and in the end we will succeed.

Don't despair, Don't give up.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

51 city parks.

That's the number of parks Mayor Bing is being forced to "close" by Snyders attempt to force an "emergency manager" on the city of Detroit.

http://www.freep.com/article/20130201/NEWS01/130201036/Dave-Bing-Detroit-parks-cuts-Belle-Isle?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|FRONTPAGE

Let's be honest here, one doesn't "close" a city park, they just quit maintaining it.

Just what Detroit needs, more blight forced on it by greed.

When they say no, they really mean yes.

http://www.eclectablog.com/2013/01/think-electoral-vote-distribution-related-election-rigging-is-over-in-michigan-its-not.html

Proving once again that (R)epelican'ts can't be trusted.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Behind the scenes.

This is how it goes.

Billionaires supporting billionaires, crushing the middle class.

http://www.eclectablog.com/2013/01/republican-senator-patrick-colbeck-admits-dick-devos-bankrolled-right-to-work-drive-in-michigan.html

A little background: DeVos is the CEO of Amway and lost to Granholm in a general election.

Now he spends his days and money getting his revenge by allegiance to ALEC and ownership of Snyders strings..

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

They're still not done.

http://www.vltp.net/education/michigans-education-achievement-authority-not-fiscally-responsible

Destroying teachers unions isn't "fiscally responsible"?

Now why would they do that? To pretend that that irresponsibility was the fault of the teachers union, of course.

We already knew they lied about "small government", but this BIG a lie?

http://www.eclectablog.com/2013/01/small-governmentt-michigan-gop-passed-so-many-bills-lt-gov-has-to-take-up-slack-signing-them.html

Now that they think they've won the "vagina wars", they want to ruin the next ALEC target.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

The war on vaginas continues unabated in Michigan.

http://www.addictinginfo.org/2012/12/17/michigan-continues-war-on-vaginas-video/

I guess you girls weren't using them anyway?

So the GOP want's 'em, under their control.

[-] -2 points by mideast (506) 11 years ago

does "push harder" mean VOTE DEMOCRATIC ?

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Here in Michigan it has led to tyranny, plain and simple. classic tyranny.

That's always been the ultimate aim of the GOP.

[-] -1 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

voting Green may be good for you
it is not good for America

ever heard of Nader?

No matter how much YOU like a third party candidate – here is the math

This is not about bush or Gore or why Gore lost or
chads or recounts or scoutus
This is ALL about the 2000 Florida math.
bush = 2912790
Gore = 2912253
Nader = 97488
So bush “won” by 537 votes

it would be reasonable to surmise that 80% of third party Nader votes would have gone to Gore – giving him a clear victory.
BUT
Lets be much less generous to Gore and give him a tiny 1% edge in splitting up the third party Nader votes:

Give bush 49.5% = 48257
Give Gore 50.5% = 49231
So
bush = 2912790 + 48257 = 2961047
Gore = 2912253 + 49231 = 2961484
A 437 vote victory for Gore
who would have read his PDBs & avoided 911 & not lied about wmds & not invaded Iraq

The issue here is – for all of the 2000 third party voters who were SO PROUD to vote for Nader -
can they admit that they may have been very happy to vote for third party Nader – even if it led to the worst disaster in America since the Civil War

[-] 1 points by beautifulworld (23769) 11 years ago

Voting Green is the only way to go. The status quo is a big fail. Get up some courage for some real change.

[-] 2 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

In 2000 voting for Nader was a good move?

[-] 1 points by beautifulworld (23769) 11 years ago

Maybe in the long run, bensdad, maybe. A weak left sure is getting us nowhere. Read "A Short History of Progress." We don't have much time.

[-] 1 points by forourfutures (393) 11 years ago

Ultimately yes. But until the federal government is more constitutional, oil companies will continue to direct the economy. So voting green AND for candidates that will defend the constitutional values which protect us assures more green actions will be available.

You can report the to the abuse e-mail as they appear ( copy the permalink on the bottom of their comment - and paste it onto the e-mail ) And this will get to the mods for a quicker response or you can ignore them slap em down or not and the mods do eventually seem to zap em anyway.

But the fact of the matter is that they will never go away - they will always be attacking - they will always be trying to get OWS/OCCUPY supporters to leave.

In the long run, they will only succeed in strengthening our resolve. So ok & thanks for your info.

No problem I have been a regular target - it is kind of like having a really nasty cheer-leading squad - they let you know with their attacks that you have hit a sore spot for them. {:-])

Union workers are decent hard working Americans. That is why WE stand with them.

Your dishonest, derogatory, slurs against them simply shows you have NO HONOR.

You betray your own class when you speak against decent hard working Americans, when you speak for the corp 1% oligarchs that prey on your family.

You are a traitor to your class, and are without HONOR.

How about we punch every lying sack of shit on FLAKESnews and pee on them afterwords?

You know it's the correct thing to do, now that we've outlawed tarring and feathering.

Besides punches and pee are cheaper these days now that WallStreet has enforced gouging on all products..

better than punching - is VOTING D

[-] -1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

That has yet to stop FLAKESnews, nor the folks that enjoy the way they lie.

So punch 'em and pee on 'em.

I am an absolutist on freedom of the press -
and I know it has cost America a lot with the faux noose addicts

Starting a year a go, MSNBC not only started exposing the lies, they have consistantly used the word "lie" & "liar"

Freedom of the press is NOT a "right" to lie, misreport, misrepresent, etc, etc........

It just isn't what it's for.

At the level of sophistication today's propaganda is capable of, it's never been MORE IMPORTANT to redefine NEWS and separate it from it's entertainment element.

I hate fox - but you cannot define truth -
any more than they can

FLAKESnews has you so confused you can't tell the difference between news and lies?

I guess Murdock's master plan worked on you, anyway.

Me? Not so much.
