Forum Post: Met Ed/First Energy-Another Greedy, Lying, Corrupt Corporation!

I have been living in Reading, Pa for (5) consecutive days without power and cooking on a camping stove while Met Ed/First Energy Executives are enjoying their million dollar homes and eating steak dinners.
In case you haven't heard, our area was hit with an early snow storm and as a result, trees have fallen on power lines and caused power outages all over the place.
Our power company "Met Ed/First Energy" has been lying to the public saying that their people have been working on the problem day and night and we have the proof!
Behind my home there is a damaged utility pole with a blown transformer and lines down. Hundreds of telephone calls have been made, emails sent and here after 5 days, NO ONE has been out to fix the pole! This SINGLE POLE is causing THOUSANDS to be without power!!!
I've also been informed first hand from the "outside workforce" that was brought in to fix the damages, that NO ONE is supervising their efforts and they are without direction and prioritization! These are mostly workers from Toledo Ohio. Instead, they are sitting around in their warm utility trucks, sipping Star Bucks Coffee and being given the best accomodations that the area can afford!

And help us Protest this GREEDY CORPORATION and make them understand that we, the 99 Percent are tired, we need heat, hot water and food!

Socialism is not the answer... Becoming Self-Reliant IS. I weathered that same storm, for over 5 days. It was not a big issue to me. I learned to be self reliant, have water on hand, additional source of heat, survival food. I straightened my hair using an inverter and a car battery to get ready for work.... yes, I went to work everyday and I was clean... why? because I learned not to lean on the government, not to complain and whine, but to do for myself. This is something you should be teaching your group.
Stupid comment. So a greedy corporation PAYS to have workers sit in trucks doing nothing. Try to post something intelligent. If the workers are sitting in trucks sipping Starbucks (did you sample it), then they must be part of the 99-ers-UNION WORKERS.
