Occupy - people posting here are acting like a little clique turning your backs on people who don't applaud your every word. But you don't own a movement (no one can) and you're so closed minded to say anyone has individual thought is to be ignored and censored - shame on the idiots running this thing what a bunch of lame-ass dicks - go back to mommy's basements - just so you know though not everyone has that luxury this movement means more than idealism to us - it's struggle and toil and our lives - Fuck it I'm starting my own movement - anyone with me? Not to mention Anonymous which wreaks of cowardice (being anonymous) ... the word occupy reminds me of the Nazis. Leaderless movements are cowardly if you're not willing to stand by your convictions then you have no convictions - leaders are drawn from a consensus of those convictions and those willing to put themselves on the sword and stand by them. I'm starting a movement - for people who can think for themselves for people who refuse to let freedom go so easily . Enjoy being out in the cold occupy...go listen to someone else speak so you can re-formulate the words in your own language tomorrow. Let the dog get adopted because it's getting put to sleep anyhow - people who NEED this movement, whose very lives depend on it - POST AWAY; the kiddies need a reality check and a little dose of anti-intellectualism will do them good. Having a degree means you managed not to doze off in class long enough to pay for your diploma. POST AWAY WORKING CLASS- TIME TO TAKE BACK OUR MOVEMENT ...

Not sure what you are talking about. So far as I can tell this forum is more or less evenly divided between people who are openly hostile to OWS and people who think they support it but don't seem to know much about it, including its most basic decision making processes. You seem to assume that OWS and this forum in particular is dominated by very young people. I see no evidence of that. Indeed, a poll taken during the height of the Zuccotti occupation suggested that the mean age of occupiers was 33 and that only slightly more than the national average were unemployed, hardly indicative of 20 somethings or younger. I don't think this is accurately a leaderless movement. It is more accurately a leaderful movement. What is true is that it is the least ego based movement that I've seen in nearly 50 years of political activism.

I do think it is true that this forum probably tends to be a substitute for real activism for many people who participate on it, but it is also the case that several people I have encountered on this forum simply are in no position to be more active either by virtue of disability or distance from a convenient GA or occupation. For people in such circumstances I think a forum like this can be a valuable expression of support.

I'm on social security, so I suppose that gives me bone fides as an authentic worker, if retired.

I want to see the document that outlines your "new movement". If it is as hard to read and understand as what you just wrote then it should be interesting.

Webster's example of childish "blather", see above. I have children older than you.

So what is your point?

PS When you say off topic this "forum' has no topics and no way to go back to read responses - it's design is ridiculous, flawed, and confusing ... aside from which there are headlines that could be used to divert many of the extremists so people could get some good discussions going - the other portion of this is you shouldn't advertise and lay your deck down for the other side to see by planning your defense in public - do you really think all of occupy's planning should be done in public on a forum? stupidity - for all to see

This is much better than your post. Don't pull working-stiff-cred superiority. I agree with some of the (lack of retrieval and reference) design flaws. And I really agree with public exposure of internal planning. But this IS NOT internal. This is a public forum.

The 99% includes the working class, that's what OWS is all about. Look up to find your enemy.
