The world should protest the ineffectiveness of NATO. The world should protest NATO's lack of support for the common good of ALL. NATO should be protested for not working together to promote health and prosperity for all starting with the monied country's abuses and failures in their own homes and then include the lack of cooperation to extend technological benefits to the poor countries ( Green Cheap Self-sustaining Technology ). NATO should be protested for supporting the corrupt status-quo. Just the same as we should continue protesting these things in our individual governments.

Thanks again GF for bringing another all encompassing issue into the light of day.

I had no idea that a military alliance was responsible for all those things.

Make sure you invite some relatives of those who have been killed in Libya, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Somolia and Yemen.

Yemen should be easy, we just killed dozens there with bombs last week.

And also make sure that you invite some guests from Syria, so NATO can explain why they dont care about them (or the many other places of mass murder around the globe that have nothing to offer us in return).

Fuck NATO.

Shut the fuck up, hchc. Are you coming up or are you going to spew more paid for propaganda? I'd say put your money where your mouth is but your mouth is already paid for.

Im not coming up. Are you coming to Tampa for the RNC? I think if you knew me you would see Im not exactly the paid-mouth type :)

[-] 2 points by GirlFriday (17435) 12 years ago

Sure you are. That's your business, is it not?

[-] 0 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 12 years ago

Well by standard, then I guess you are paid mouth piece for whoever you work for. Even if you work for yourself, you still have clients.

When people need help that are decent working people, of course I help them. Trust me, I turn down customers because I dont like who they seem to be. Plus some of them will just never be happy regardless of what happens.

I'll vouch for Occupy because I believe in it.

[-] 2 points by GirlFriday (17435) 12 years ago

Um.......like no. FAIL. Your job is a propaganda artist. We just can't dress it up. You are working for Rocky at this point.

I working for quite a few, basically anyone who doesnt fall into the same D/R paradigm.

And trying to help someone isnt exactly working, there isnt any pay.

Who do you "work" for? Why are you so secretive with everything?

[-] 2 points by GirlFriday (17435) 12 years ago

Why are you so nosy? I am not secretive with everything. I am a very private person because I live in a town where they cannot shut up about anything. 90% of them attended MSU (Make Shit Up) university. It's like being trapped in an old time Southern beauty parlor.

Here, I'll give you something. I come from a long line of Vet's. The repercussions......... destroyed my family. I have a brother they are sniffing around and a son that I have forbidden to join the military. I refuse to allow my son to fight a corporate war. Fuck 'em.

Now, it's your turn. Tell us something that is totally you and is not propaganda.

Wow, I applaud you. Ok, um...

My girlfriend is in grad school at USF for physics, they just cut her labs funding (gov needs more bombs), so that sucks.

I grew up doing construction with my uncle, pretty crazy biz. Went to school at University of Tampa.

Was in the Marines in 1999, got kicked out a year later, dont take to well to the lying. Good experience as far as discipline and what not, but simply too many rules. Helped with a few political campaigns, got a good dose of the slowness and fall in line attitudes all over again.

Honestly, at this point in my life, Im not sure what to do about my political thoughts sometimes. Sometimes it feels like one can make a difference, and others its like trying to move a mountain. Its definitely a love/hate relationship :)

Did you fail to notice the malfeasance of Gov. Scott?

I notice you never mention him.

[-] 0 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 12 years ago

He's done some really dumb things. They are cutting funding to my girlfriend's lab she works in.

The thing is, with the amount of money the feds are taking, it doesnt matter who gets into local office. There simply isnt enough money to go around and its not sustainable.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

I'm sorry, it matters a lot, maybe more than national politics.

He's done much more that just "dumb" things.

Same with Brewer, and Snyder, and Walker and Christie and how many more?

It's where ALEC dumps tons of money.

[-] 0 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 12 years ago

True. But I honestly think the country is so broke that it doesnt really matter what they do about pensions and ss and stuff, because I really dont see any of it being around anyways much longer.

Im pretty sure we are going to end up buying groceries at McDonalds and sending our kids to school at Walmart. NOt a happy ending.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

This doesn't address what I said.

If we're so broke, then why are record amounts being spent in local elections?

No, you did not address this. Why don't you tell us about the "dumb" things Scott has done?

[-] 0 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 12 years ago

Well, he came in with the drug testing thing for gov benefits. I would like to see it all legalized.

He also signed the merit pay thing, which I think is a cop out of a larger problem.

Same thing with any politicians- throw their base a few bones and ignore the major stuff.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

That's pretty damn mild, compared to the vehemence you've heaped on Democrats.

Gov. Scott is much worse than you describe. I'll help you out a bit.

Well, he is a local politician, so I cant blame his much for the war thing, which is my main gripe.

I obviously think the R party is a disaster, I think 2000-2008 proved that.

The only reason I slam the Dems here so much is because I feel that their voters (just like the other side) dont hold them accountable enough.

If this was a R site, I have WAY more material for them.
