It's about damn time.

[-] 3 points by TheTrollSlayer (347) from Kingsport, TN 11 years ago

couldn't have said it any better

[-] 4 points by frovikleka (2563) from Island Heights, NJ 11 years ago

Good job TS. At the very least, it gives more exposure to their corrupt ways, and who knows maybe there still is some justice.

[-] 3 points by TheTrollSlayer (347) from Kingsport, TN 11 years ago

Maybe with enough of us behind them they can go farther.

[-] 2 points by frovikleka (2563) from Island Heights, NJ 11 years ago

I'm ready to do what I can

[-] 2 points by TheTrollSlayer (347) from Kingsport, TN 11 years ago

we begin by spreading the article wherever we can

[-] 0 points by frovikleka (2563) from Island Heights, NJ 11 years ago

Sometimes the answer is quite simple, I guess.

[-] 1 points by TheTrollSlayer (347) from Kingsport, TN 11 years ago

Dont understand what you mean by the answer.

[-] 1 points by frovikleka (2563) from Island Heights, NJ 11 years ago

Nothing profound for sure was meant by my answer, just that I agree with you that, "spreading the article wherever we can" is the simple answer for this news, and also for spreading the news of this rev in general.

[-] 1 points by TheTrollSlayer (347) from Kingsport, TN 11 years ago

agreed

[-] 0 points by LetsGetReal (1420) from Grants, NM 11 years ago

It's on the front page of reddit at the moment. Hope it gets enough votes to stay there a while.

[-] 2 points by TheTrollSlayer (347) from Kingsport, TN 11 years ago

Lets be careful this isnt trying to manipulate the elections by trying to blame the democrats when it was both parties resposible.

[-] 3 points by Nevada1 (5843) 11 years ago

Thank you Slayer for post.

This is good. Apply pressure, find the money, and get the truth out.

[-] 2 points by TheTrollSlayer (347) from Kingsport, TN 11 years ago

I believe people need to support the Spire Law Group on this matter. They need people and i mean alot to show we're behind them on this and it's what the people want as well.

[-] 1 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

Spire Law Group is covering for the Bush administration. Their law suit is basically a half-truth.

[-] 2 points by TheTrollSlayer (347) from Kingsport, TN 11 years ago

We must be careful that this an effort to sway the elections by placing the blame on democrats. That article has truth because i have relatives who unfortunately believe fox news and the uninformed tea party elements and think everythings Obama fault and wont listen no matter what i try to show them.

[-] 2 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

I've given this a lot of thought lately so here goes. Hey, Tea Party, that's right you, you're not the only people who thought the bailouts were a scam so take your lawsuit and work on it. Revise it. Come back when your ready to talk seriously.

[-] 1 points by TheTrollSlayer (347) from Kingsport, TN 11 years ago

I surely hope you not referring to me as a member of the Tea Party. Nor watch Fox News. I left the TV on Fox News one night while in the same room and it took two episodes of John Stewart to recover my senses.

[-] 1 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

Of course not. You just posted an article and it takes time to get a grasp on something like this. I was really directing it the law firm. The Tea Party is tricky.

[-] 1 points by TheTrollSlayer (347) from Kingsport, TN 11 years ago

Yes, it's being discussed whether the timing might be to influence the elections especially since it's mentioning just democrats. But definitely worth following up after the elections.

I don't know anything about this website but here's an interesting discussion about this;

[-] 1 points by TheTrollSlayer (347) from Kingsport, TN 11 years ago

I've read this. It seems like this is just started getting around.

[-] 0 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 11 years ago

any updates on this?

[-] 1 points by TheTrollSlayer (347) from Kingsport, TN 11 years ago

I'm waiting myself. I think, just guessing, that people are waiting past the election. Afterward I myself am going to start posting this every place i can. This needs to go on and i believe it will.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

I find it interesting that 2 days after NATO bombed ghadaffi's grand child

Bin Ladin was assassinated

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

the question of succession

made emperors paranoid men

issued death orders on their mothers and friends

you and me could right on Bad Romans

[-] 2 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

We have to avoid getting into conspiracy theories on this but naturally we should stay informed and follow this.

[-] 1 points by Marquee (192) 11 years ago

Yep. I'm not prone to conspiracy theories but the timing on this was unusual.

[-] 1 points by TheTrollSlayer (347) from Kingsport, TN 11 years ago

I believe it would be safe to say Fox News was the reason why

[-] 0 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 11 years ago

This should be posted a million times.

Seriously. This needs to go viral so the network media is forced to cover it.

[-] 3 points by Builder (4202) 11 years ago

I've posted it to all five debate boards I frequent.

It's not like this is just one website showing this info. It's going viral.

And so it fucking should. About time, mate.

[-] 3 points by TheTrollSlayer (347) from Kingsport, TN 11 years ago

Thanks my friend, i'm spreading it every place i can as well.

[-] 3 points by Builder (4202) 11 years ago

No probs. This is real citizen's united work.

[-] 2 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 11 years ago

Keep posting and keep sharing.

I plan on posting this once a week on every page I go. I've already talked about it with half the people I work with. I've told all my friends and most of my family. Getting out that info!

[-] 2 points by TheTrollSlayer (347) from Kingsport, TN 11 years ago

I'm waiting to see if it goes front page and should. It should.

[-] -1 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

Spire Law Group wants to associate all wrong-doing in regards to the bailouts with the Obama administration. It started with the BUSH administration. I'd say Spire is playing frontman for the Tea Party or republicans and they're misleading people. Blaming Obama for everything and giving Bush a pass on EVERYTHING isn't right.

[-] 1 points by TheTrollSlayer (347) from Kingsport, TN 11 years ago

You have a very good point here considering the timing of this. I have republican relatives that blame Obama for everything including bad weather and i cant tell or show them anything, damn fox news propaganda. Now, how can we use this after the election to show both political parties were involved with this and more. If enough of the right people get together i believe this could be possible. If this was Spire Law Groups intention, lets turn it around and use it for what this movement is really about.

[-] 1 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

It's hard not to support this lawsuit but Spire seems to be selective in who they're going after. I'd say support it but be suspicious. Spire is clearly against the bailouts, so am I, but I'm not aligned with people such as the Tea Party who are also against the bailouts. OWS doesn't have a position on the bailouts and that's probably good.

[-] 1 points by TheTrollSlayer (347) from Kingsport, TN 11 years ago

Thats whats got me suspicious is the targeting when both parties have been the problem.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Dems (some) are always complicit in the mistakes our govt makes. This banking theft is no difference.

I submit that the reasons we've had this theft by banks (Glass Steagal repeal, weak regs) is based in passing conservative policies

I am most disgusted with those Dems who cave in to vote for conservative policies so of course we must blame both parties if we want hold people responsible. (I certainly do)

We also must recognize that it IS conservative policies that we MUST correct (with progressive solutions) if we want to prevent in the future.

It wouldn't be fair to blame progressive principles for this debacle.

[-] 1 points by TheTrollSlayer (347) from Kingsport, TN 11 years ago

I agree

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Wow. A reasonable man.

Peace, & Solidarity!

[-] 1 points by TheTrollSlayer (347) from Kingsport, TN 11 years ago

Thank you.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

No! No! Thank YOU man!.

;)

[-] -1 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

the downward spiral of the USA started when the dems took control of congress in january , 2007.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

The downward spiral has been going on for decades. It accelerated when Reagan came to office and imposed the conservative trickle down disaster.

Progressive solutions are the only answer.

[-] -1 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

sorry , i'm not a fan of statism ( fascism).

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

What ism are you a fan of then?

How does "fanism" even apply?

Have you been watching too much football?

[-] 0 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

"fanism"? what are you talking about? learn to read. i correctly typed in "fascism".

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Forgot what you wrote already?

That didn't take too long and you could have just read the damn thing.

[-] -1 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

you put fanism in quotes, meaning thats what i said. i didnt.

[-] 3 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

You're the one that mentioned, not being a fan.

I'm trying to understand how "fanism" applies.

You keep dodging what you said.

[-] -2 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

when you put a word in quotes, it means you're quoting. i never used the word " fanism". you did. What I said was,..........."sorry, im not a fan of statism ( fascism)". use your soggy single brain cell to try to comprehend.

[-] 3 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Being, or not being a "fan" implies "fanism"

It's the root term of fanaticism.

To say you are not a "fan" of one thing, implies that you are a "fan" of something else. More than likely fanatical.

Now. Continue your avoidance techniques.

[-] -1 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

if i said i was not a " fan " of steak it does not mean i adore another cut of meat, or that i i am a fan of chicken or anything else.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

So you're just a fanatical non fanatic?

Not a fan of anything, but a non fan of some things?

A fanatic of negative apathy?

A non fanatic of meat?

A vegetabletarian?

Or just a vegetable?

I'd go for the latter.

[-] -1 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

i post truth, you write fiction.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

No you haven't.

You haven't even posted the truth in what you post.

[-] -1 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

still lacking in reading comprehension? i said " if" , i did not say i am not. " vegetabletarian"? making up words? did you mean vegetarian?

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Why not?

You've been makin' stuff up too!!

I'm just makin' up a word, you make up whole realities.

In fact, you were first and what goes around, comes around.

So then, you are a vegetable?

Pretty good typing skills for potato.

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Me neither.

Ev'rybody's talkin' 'bout

Bagism, Shagism, Dragism, Madism, Ragism, Tagism

This-ism, that-ism, ism ism ism

All we are saying is give peace a chance

Replace pro trickle down conservatives w/ anti trickle down progressives & protest for change that benefits the 99%.

[-] 0 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

capitalism is the salvation of the poor and it benefits everyone.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

So that is what you bendover4 - crapitalism. Don't 4get your ky.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Hasn't worked so well for the poor yet.

Perhaps some directed control is required to make sure the greed that comes with capitalism doesn't leave the poor behind.

[-] 0 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

capitalism works for everyone. its the loony left that wants you think otherwise. they want to control all aspects of your life in deference to the state ( central planning).

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I thought it was the right wing religious wackos who wanted to control vaginas and gay people.

What does "the loony left" want to control?

[-] -1 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

the dems want to control every aspect of the lives of the citizens of the usa.

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

name one!

[-] 0 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

the smart meter does not give you control , it gives control to the power company.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

We must protest the intrusion of the electric co. But we want to have the control the meters provide.

How do you feel about the power electric co have when the use controlled brownouts to prevent larger blackouts?

[-] 1 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

the response of an 8 yr old, which for you is a stretch.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

LOL

[-] 1 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

neither, you're just plain dumb(o).

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

childish insults just show the impotence of you position.

You have nothing. You are spent.

I have beaten you like an old salvation army drum!

consider yourself dispatched & dismissed.

sucka! LMFAO

[-] 0 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

your reply only enforces what you are , dumb(o).

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I know you are, but what am I?!

[-] 0 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

build nuclear plants, more coal plants, ( the epa is shutting them down) and their wont be brownouts. who is the " we" you speak of that want the power co. thourgh the meters to have control?

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Nuclear too dangerous, coal to dirty.

We the people.

[-] -1 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

dumbo? is a personal attack???? LOL.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Unless you're referring to the neighborhood in brooklyn or the beloved Disney character.

[-] -1 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

everything has a degree of danger, dumbo. by the way, DC is powered by a coal plant.

[-] -1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Name calling? Are you 12?

Please refrain from the personal attacks.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

yes, we pay the power company

we ought to elect their board members

[-] 1 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

if you own stock in the company , you can do that.

[-] 0 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

how much energy you use, what you pay for it, what type it is, health insurance, school loans, banks, through the epa ,..... farmlands, drilling, fishing, coal plants,

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

No one tells me how much energy I use. how much OR what type. How are the lefties doing that to you?

[-] 1 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

why would a take a new meter that the say in their mailer is not removable and gives the electric co. control over how much electricity i use and also monitors what i use?

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Because it better for you?

[-] 1 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

electric companies around the nation are trying to get their customers to O.K new meter installations along with new ( electric company controllable)in home thermostats. if it gets too hot in the summer and you want to keep your house cooler than the electric company thinks is neccessary , they are able to control your usage. the outdoor meters also monitor what electric appliances you use, when you use it. i am not making this up. every couple of months i get an insert with my bill trying to get me to sign on for this. i live on the east coast, mid atlantic state.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

LOL. Yeah I've heard. sounds pretty intrusive. And you're blaming the left wing for this? Well I suppose we will have to protest. We can get electric co out of our business.

So don't worry. Take the new meter, and fight against their intrusion.

Easy peezy boss.

[-] 1 points by DanielBarton (1345) 11 years ago

You confused companies for government.

Things like these were installed in Belgium monitored how much energy you used during the day. Well the plan was scrapped because people begun to find out when people were out of town and stole using this meters.

[-] 0 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

so you be the first in your neighborhood to get one and your energy supplier can control how much you use and monitor when you use it.

[-] 2 points by grapes (5232) 11 years ago

It helps the electric companies to be able to keep the power on near peak periods (which also benefits the consumers) and improves their profits by reducing their capital commitment locked up in backup power generators. It often helps the consumers because the electric companies tend to offer a discount on their electricity so that they can shut off non-critical consumer systems at peak loadings. During those times, the marginal cost of power generation can be many times that for base-loading. It is a win-win proposition for some consumers as long as we keep the information private between the consumers and electric companies so that thieves cannot take advantage of the meter readings to detect if the consumers are absent from their premises.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I do want a smart meter. Gives me better control and info regarding electrical usage.

Any intrusion by elec co, govt will have to dealt with by protesting.

What should we do about the controlled brownouts elec co's use to prevent largscale blackouts.

Are you familiar with this tactic? Do you think the elec co does NOT have control over your elec power now.?

[-] -1 points by andover4 (-33) 11 years ago

you stated that"no one tells me how much energy I use" so why are you now saying "Because it's better for you"?

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Because the meters are better!

[-] 2 points by TheTrollSlayer (347) from Kingsport, TN 11 years ago

I disagree, the policies and problems thats been causing the downward spiral began decades ago and took many years to slowly bring us where we are today, like Free Trade, and very little has changed since 2008. It's the career politicians of both parties and the financial elite is what i believe.

[-] -1 points by zoom6000 (430) from St Petersburg, FL 11 years ago

Ironically No mention to the 2 bush`s terms where all the F%%% Up happines

[-] 1 points by TheTrollSlayer (347) from Kingsport, TN 11 years ago

Exactly when all the problems have been going on for decades by both parties. We must be careful that someone is not trying to influence the election by blaming Obama.

[-] 1 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

As you said the timing is suspicious. I agree. If Spire is trying to influence the election I'd say it's a big fail. Let's see what they have to say after the election.

[-] 1 points by TheTrollSlayer (347) from Kingsport, TN 11 years ago

Seems to me like that would be the time to do so and go after whoever in both parties involved.
