First, lets start with the definition of lobbying.

Lobbying: Seek to influence (a politician or public official) on an issue

So the rights favorite lobbies include, Big Oil, Pharma, Big Banks, Big Industry. Abortion,

The left also engages in Lobbying. There favorite lobbies include: Alternate Energy, Unions, Big Education (NEA), Anti-Abortion

Occupy Wall St is techincally lobbying to get money out of politics.

So I know you hate the koch brothers and think republicans kowtow to corporations. But both sides do it.

The unions are notorious for lobbying the democratic party for a harder position on unions including card check.

So is lobbying bad or is it only bad with issues you disagree with?

So food for thought.

What politicians wont' tell you, but all should know a few basic things:

  1. Independent Human Rights investigation of Obama and NATO crimes against humanity in Libya. Obama gave orders to bomb without congressional approval: http://humanrightsinvestigations.org/2011/10/11/sarkozy-cameron-obama-al-thani-and-the-suffering-of-the-children-of-sirte/

2 Fact check: Romney vs Obama: who lies more? -- quite similar. http://www.factcheck.org/barack-obama/ http://www.factcheck.org/tag/mitt-romney/

  1. Top 20 recipients of Wall Street Funds: http://www.opensecrets.org/industries/summary.php?ind=F07&cycle=All&recipdetail=M&sortorder=U Historically, which party receives more from Wall Street? http://www.opensecrets.org/industries/summary.php?ind=F07&cycle=All&recipdetail=A&sortorder=U

  2. Noam Chomsky on the State-Corporate Complex: http://chomsky.info/talks/20110407.htm

  3. Noam Chomsky's Manufacturing Consent: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQhEBCWMe44

  4. Noam Chomsky on why Obama is worse than Bush: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mA4HYTO790 and Obama's imperilstic policies: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiwAFIgGCkQ

7.republicans were in power at one point and Democrats were in full power just recently---the difference? Obama's budget for the military was higher than that of Bush's:

Is it better to give allegiance to Caesar whether it be Romney/Obama OR your children. Two parties for two audiences, but same policies--each telling their own audience to demonize the other party, and thus get off free from bearing any responsibility or accountability.

LOBBYING: Obama's biggest lobbying were from BIG PHARMA, BIG BANKS, HEALTH INSURANCE INDUSTRY. -----go research even on Obama's health care reform.
-----Yet you're right- Republicans are just as to blame, but the lobby groups lobby both parties equally most times.

Here are some more facts:

Not lobbying. CAMPAIGN FUNDING. You can't stop a group from talking to a candidate or politician. But you can stop him from taking a $1,000,000 through a 'Politcal Advocacy Group' or a PAC. You can also stop them from getting a $1,000,000 year as a 'consultant' when they retire from politics. It's conflict of interest.
