Libertarians are liberals without the insolence, because they have no need to impress others in a group. They can bring that élan, that coolness, that hipness, that zeitgeist to their own lives because they have what liberals don't have: The future.

Libertarians are also conservatives without the self righteousness, because they can be members of voluntary collective efforts whenever they choose, keeping or discarding conventions and traditions and customs as suits each personality, without losing their individual identities. They have what conservatives don't have: The future.

So libertarians need to stop saying things like "socially tolerant and fiscally conservative."

They need only say: "Liberalism and conservatism are dead; the future is ours."

SEC and FDA and etc etc should be democratically elected positions by the people. One from each state.

An elected dictatorship, just what we need.
