It seems common ground is somewhat difficult for liberals and libertarians to come by in this forum.

For those of you who regard Ron Paul as a 'yahoo' or a 'wingnut', I would say to you: why do you not support this man's stance against these costly and tragic wars?

I'm a full supporter and participant of OccupyWallStreet, but I think it's really ridiculous how people are shouting THIS IS NOT LEFT VS. RIGHT out of one side of their mouths, then SUPPORT RON PAUL out of the other.

If this is supposed to be nonpartisan, then stay true to that.

Maybe I should have stated it more explicitly, "Libertarians have common ground with liberals on stopping the wars".

And you didn't answer the question. I never asked you to support Ron Paul; I asked you if you supported his viewpoint.

fascinating. an excerpt from the last:
"I wish your movement better luck than we had with the tea party movement before it got hijacked by the theocrats and corporatists. We used to be non-partisan too. We were the older version of you. But, I believe that as the media apparatchik and infiltrators start to twist your cause, you will understand the frustration us early adopter tea partiers felt and that we were not your enemy after all. A fascist oligarchy on the verge of winning is our common enemy. This should be your focus. Don't be dazzled by the illusion as we were."

A warning from an original Tea Party member. Very interesting.

How about this... a warning from the past: Come gather 'round people Wherever you roam And admit that the waters Around you have grown And accept it that soon You'll be drenched to the bone If your time to you Is worth savin' Then you better start swimmin' Or you'll sink like a stone For the times they are a-changin'.

Come writers and critics Who prophesize with your pen And keep your eyes wide The chance won't come again And don't speak too soon For the wheel's still in spin And there's no tellin' who That it's namin' For the loser now Will be later to win For the times they are a-changin'.

Come senators, congressmen Please heed the call Don't stand in the doorway Don't block up the hall For he that gets hurt Will be he who has stalled There's a battle outside And it is ragin' It'll soon shake your windows And rattle your walls For the times they are a-changin'.

Come mothers and fathers Throughout the land And don't criticize What you can't understand Your sons and your daughters Are beyond your command Your old road is Rapidly agin' Please get out of the new one If you can't lend your hand For the times they are a-changin'.

The line it is drawn The curse it is cast The slow one now Will later be fast As the present now Will later be past The order is Rapidly fadin' And the first one now Will later be last For the times they are a-changin'.
