Mr. President as a citizen and voter, I urge you not to compromise with Republicans over the fiscal cliff. Middle class Americans create jobs since they are the largest consumer populous in the world. The inability of the working class and lower wage workers to maintain a standard or cost of living will absolutely cripple the world economy. It's time for corporations to pay their fair share. They have so many loopholes written in as well as the ability to offshore their financial departments they surely are not paying their fair share for the amount of resources they cost American taxpayers. They consume far more of electricity, oil, gas, police, roadways, than the average taxpayer and therefore should pay a bit more when instead they are paying virtually nothing and able to hide their profits in capital gains and write offs and Swiss bank accounts. We build their business with our labor but all we get for it is higher prices, stagnant wages, benefit cut-backs and pink slips. How much oil does Wal-Mart use shipping goods back from China Driving up all of our gas rates? How much landscaping, repairs, and land-hording does a bank or business get to use use as a write off? The current financial policy in this nation has left the working class in complete ruins. The poor will suffer more greatly than they ever have in history as jobs become scarcer, are-off-shored, and out-sourced. When will you stand up and protect the American way. Watch It's A Wonderful Life Mr. President, for surely America has become Pottersville. Will you take the "Potter Deal" or will you protect what is right? There will be no time in history to get this moment back... or we are forever doomed to becoming a third world caste system reliancy nation. Reliant on whatever scraps Wal-Street will let us have and whatever price a monopoly declares fair. Off to bed Mr.President, I began my day at 5 off to work at 7, home at 6 and my husband left at the same time and is still out working. We haven't bought new clothing in 6 years. We're wearing shoes with holes in them. We can't afford to donate a snippet of our meager wages to billionaires we're stressed out and worried all the time. Our wages have been stagnant for the last 15 years we entered adult hood in the Bush years and have been free-falling ever since with no chance for upward mobility. Our government is supposed to represent the taxpayers, the people, the citizenry not Multi-billion dollar conglomerates who profit off the failure of the average American Dream and don't even operate in this country (financially or physically.) Don't let them do this to us. We want freedom and a fair system back not a fixed monopoly subsidiary, conglomerated market that seeks only to prevent the citizenry of this nation from achieving any sort of financial independence or entrepreneurship. Their only goal is to stifle innovation, creativity, and any and all perceived competition. They own the market, we all just work for it. So will you take a stand for the American Citizen? Will you force Wall Street to back down?

This post has a " on your knees feel to it " .. I think you need to ramp it up a bit .. Walk up there and Give the President a good hard "Slap " .. and than a hard kick .. in the RearEnd.. and one more slap followed by a left hook.. step back a moment .. take a breath and come in from the top this time with a hammering blow .. and don't forget some yelling and shouting .. pointing your finger is good .. let him know you mean business.. .. and get off your knees .. please.

yet, somehow you can afford internet service.

good point why isn't internet in the public domain? It is the virtual Library of Alexandria and the only way to seek unbiased non-corporate owned and often non-profit news as well as allowing one unlimited political access. Why do we allow a monopoly to charge us these ridiculous prices when the RF spectrum and wave of the future was owned by us (they sold it off) - and yes there are still actual libraries with actual computers in them ...but I believe internet should be taken by eminent domain and citizens given access and not forced to choose between shoes and political access (or forced to pay an inflated monopoly price). De-privatize internet access plus the RF Spectrum as well- put it in the public domain. FU COMCAST AND VERIZON!!!!! The internet is a necessity in today's world - just try doing a job search without it. These telecom industry is holding us all hostage. Take back the information highway - let the people drive!!!! Net Neutrality Rules!!

Besides it can give you really cheap phone/communications service - less expensive then most(?) cell or land line services - no cable or satellite service = no real biggy lots of entertainment can be found on line - SHIT - maybe I should shut-up - wrong ears listening/looking in.

do you actually know what " net neutrality " is? its govt control of the internet , the purpose being to suppress all info that doesnt support the dem/lib/progressive party line of propaganda. sorts like an obama ministry of " truth".

We have Net neutrality now - which means that that providers like Comcast and Verizon can only provide service lines and that they have no ability to speed up some channels and slow down others based on the money one pays - it also means they have no ability to censor what goes across their lines. - You have absolutely no idea what you're spouting - no excuse specially when we CURRENTLY have net neutrality laws in place protecting your right to inform yourself. Telecom has been challenging this right on a monthly basis trying to pay off the FCC - which is why I believe they should lose they right to even be providers of internet service. Getting rid of net neutrality is the electronic equivalent of the power company determining the amount of kilowatts they'll allow through your line a day or charging you extra not to hold back in other words - how fast you can toast your bread, or which appliances you're allowed to use and how many times a day.
