"....We can do this people, if we stick together and get involved....."

I agree ... but it's amazing frf ... that now you want togetherness ... like a true Occupier :)

...

yet previously most of your posts are all about alienating the conservative block...

... not ALL conservative's are bad or stupid...

you might find that many of them will switch & support Bernie ...

....

STOP Alienating them ... please :)

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

Yeah it was the "the Dems aren't perfect so I can't vote for them" crowd I was referring to, I don't think the cons will support Bernie if they do they're not cons because Bernie is no con.

I hope that you will begin to address those who want to splinter those who wish to address wealth inequality into those willing to vote for the Dems and those that are not, the dividers must be addressed.

Stop feeding the TROLLS please :)

[-] 0 points by BradB (2693) from Washington, DC 8 years ago

ok... I guess I'll stop feeding you ... you still don't get it... !!!

99% is 99% !!! ... that includes 99% of everyone !!!

DEMS.., GREENS ... GOP ... etc

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

Have you talked to BW about this? so many on here seem to do nothing but attack Dems.

If you think the GOP will reduce wealth inequality you are just plain stupid!

If people want change it will involve making some choices.

[-] 0 points by BradB (2693) from Washington, DC 8 years ago

you still don't get it .... talk issues !!! ... not parties or groups ... that way you gain everyone's support ... and actually change their opinions and thinking ... THAT is the CORE CONCEPT of OCCUPY !!!! 99% !!!

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

I talk about issues a lot, and I also talk about how those issues can be made better, everything ows stands for reducing wealth inequality getting money out of politics is made worse with every GOP win, if we want to change this we have to get rid of the GOP, tell me one policy supported by the GOP you support?

I have never seen you criticize those that attack the Dems is it that you think there is more support for OWS among the GOP than the Dems so you only address those of us who attack the GOP?

But do tell us which GOP proposals do you like?

[-] 0 points by BradB (2693) from Washington, DC 8 years ago

your still missing the very simple point ... when you attack a group ... you attack EVERYONE in that group....

which alienates them... and then they no longer will listen to ANYTHING you say ...

just stay on ISSUE ... w/o labeling any side ... and MANY MORE .. will hear what you are saying ... especially those who you think are the enemy ... support the 99%

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

Your only issue is to hate the Dems, TPP passes the house and you attack the Dems for it even though they voted 5 to 1 against it and pretend the GOP who voted for it 4 to 1 in favor are not a part of the problem, if the stupid people who are voting for the GOP or even worst not voting at all want to change their ways and change America I welcome them, but we can not change America doing the same old 'they're all the same" bullshit, changing things means learning shit and making choices.

Talking issues "IS" a good thing to do - ignoring who in office supports or opposes those issues -"is" - quite frankly = STUPID. If people can not see the truth as it is right this very moment in time - then - they really need to get pounded with it. So what if it pisses off some people? They need to face reality and accept it for what it is - and - THEN - they need to work like hell to make our future better.

added; .... quote: ."..ignoring who in office supports or opposes those issues -"is" - quite frankly = STUPID...."

AGREED... if you address and identify them by NAME as an INDIVIDUAL... you will gain support ...

if you attach them to a party... you lose support ... simple... Politics 101

I disagree with you - many people are leaving the republican party - they see that they have absolutely no representation at all in those who are in office at this point in time.

Those who refuse to see the differences in the people who are in office at this very point in time - ARE - denying reality.

Those who will not look objectively at the facts - are a lost cause - UNTIL - they do wake up and face reality.

Talking issues should get them to pay attention as to who is supporting and who is opposing issues - as well as get them to see what is in their best interest and who is pushing for those best interests.

By ignoring reality - you do no-one any favors - by letting people ignore the facts - you do no-one any favors. Growing up can be a painful experience at times. Some people never grow-up as some people were never made to deal with reality.

OK... go start a OCCUPY the 49% movement ... and I will also support you ...

The rethuglicans in office do not offer ANYTHING to the 99%.

Fact of the matter is - "IS" - that they don't even offer much of anything to the 90% of the 1%.

Fact of the matter - "IS" - that all but the very top of the 1% are being attacked by the rethuglicans in office. Difference being that those at the lower end of the scale (the 49% of the 99% - is how I think you have put it) - feel the deprivations immediately "as they get applied" (every single deprivation) - while those still in that upper bracket feel a lot of the deprivations as a minor nuisance until they experience something catastrophic that then lands them newly into the bottom segment of the 99% where every living expense is a struggle for survival. But it is getting more painful for those in the upper regions of the 99% - trade deals make their continued livelihood ENDANGERED to say the least.

To ignore the source ( the source being party as well as individuals in a party) - is to ignore reality - is to invite the continuation of the fall of civilization.

ok... how bout baby steps ....

how bout JUST attacking the "Tea Partiers" for an experiment ...

if you do that .. the "Tea Partiers" are likely only 50% of the GOP ... that way we will only alienate 25% of the population ... and we might get 75% of the population to hear what Occupy has to say ...

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

You never complain about those that attack the Dems, what's up with that, you just really love them GOP or what?

[-] 0 points by BradB (2693) from Washington, DC 8 years ago

your an idiot ... I attack everyone who is on the take ... I am NOT a groupie ... I don't pick sides !!

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

I read your response below you see the simple thing you don't seem to understand is how evil the GOP is and how vital it is that we remove them from office. To do nothing but sit on the sidelines holding hands does nothing to affect wealth inequality, in fact it makes it work because policy will be written by those not sitting on the sideline and they will be picked by the 1%. You do not seem to understand the simple fact that by not "picking a side" you do as the 1% want you to.

[-] 0 points by BradB (2693) from Washington, DC 8 years ago

ok... then pick a side of Good or Evil .... not of DEM or GOP ... and you will pull Good DEM's & Good GOP's with you... otherwise ... you will only pull the Good DEMs w/ you ....

If you still don't get it ... I give up ....

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

"who is on the take" so it is not the divisiveness it people on the take, so anybody who attacks the GOP is "on the take"?

so i thought it was the dividing you objected to, what's this about "on the take" what's that got to do with attacking the GOP?

[-] 0 points by BradB (2693) from Washington, DC 8 years ago

I'm trying VERY hard to help you get it !! and I'm beginning to think I'm wasting my time ...

FRF ... you do make some very good & informative posts ... and I appreciate that ...

however ... simply because you can't grasp a simple concept .... you attract very much opposition from many many people here ...

and therefore you are only 50% efficient....

OCCUPY is about the 99% ....

what does that mean ?

well... #1 .. it means that Occupy is not of the 1% ...

but .. #2 ... it also means that Occupy want's to gain the support of the masses ... all 99% of them.... not 20%.. 30% ... etc... 99% !!

that is what in early days was called "Consensus Building" ... exploring, learning & educating everyone into agreement on basic core issues ....

now... we can't do that efficiently ... when we alienate &/or exclude specific groups of people ...

because .. if you exclude them... they can not participate in the Consensus Building .... and therefore cannot become part of the 99...

so when you classify people negatively with a label ... ie GOP, DEM's, Greens, Blacks, Whites, Texans... whatever ....

those people who consider themselves part of that group .. will stop listening to your info...

It's an easy fix !!!

simply ... stay on issues & specifics ...

let's say you want to overthrow the Two Party system...

do we do that by stating/labeling that the DEMs are bad.. or the GOP is bad , or both are bad ?

that's not going to get us very far ... !!!

what we do ... is discredit ...the best we can of all the corrupt leaders (from ANY party) ... individually ... with facts & specifics ...

eventually... the followers & supporters of those leaders .. will take a second look ... and decide to replace the corrupt with better people ... and/or ... switch their thinking all together ...

simply because we treated ALL people with RESPECT & INCLUDED them in our goals !!!

stop LABELING people !!!

DKA... should consider this post addressed to him too :)

I Agree Matt !!! I think most of the country agree's ... except the arm's dealers and 99% of the elected office !!!

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

So Brad you are ready to attack any who attack the GOP, but those that attack the Dems get a pass?

Are you on the 1% bandwagon now?
